Now that the FCS games of this saturday are over what do people think of the playoffs and where we may end up?
I think because ODU won, EWU won, and Montana state won, I'm thinking we don't get a seed. I do however believe we get a 1st round bye. Really looking forward to the selection tomorrow. I think this will be a playoff to remember.

I agree completely. We really didn't get any of the breaks we needed today, short of UNH

agree, there is little chance we get a seed, but we should get a bye, than atleast 1 home game. Looking at the teams that will probably get seeds, atleast 3 are out west, so if we win, there is a good chance we will do some serious traveling. Also think we will be highest ranked SC team, GS should drop below us, and Wofford is just praying they get in. It wouldnt suprise me to see us get the 5th seed.

My predictin is no seed, one home game and if we win then there will be a trip to Fargo, then we get ready for Winter drills.

Don't see us getting a seed, but we should definitely get a bye and a home game. After that, it's up to who wins early. Maybe we'll get lucky.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think we really deserve a seed. We're a 6-8 team.

its not just you i honestly think a first round road game for this young team may be the answer for deep playoff run. They have showed they are a better team on the road for some reason

If we do get a home game against Southern Illinois like The Sports Network thinks after a bye, it seems that should be a winnable game. After that all bets are off, but we thought we would win against Maine last year also, so who knows. At least we should be able to have more running yards this year.
We have the same 8--3 record as we did last year going into the playoffs. In conference play we have only scored 17 more points than we have given up. We hopefully have a better defense than we did earlier in the year, but have not exactly shut anyone down, just done enough to win. That's OK if we can continue that, but playoffs can throw you a loop fast.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Apps get a seed. Since 5 teams get seeds now it looks like we have just as much of a case for the final spot as anyone else. The top 4 teams are pretty clear cut, but after that it is a tough call. Of the remaining teams in the top 10 we have the highest SOS, we have the best attendance in the FCS, and we have tradition which helps. No way GSU gets it over us with the same record and a loss to us at home, Sam Houston only has 7 D1 wins, and although Wofford beat us they only have 7 D1 wins. Central Arkansas is the only team that might get it thanks to their 9 wins, but them being from the Southland and having no top 10 wins hurts them.
I'm not saying we are a great team, but we can make as good of an argument for the last seed as anyone.

You have a good argument and hope it works out. Maybe being esat of the Mississippi will help spread the seeds?
