We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

FCS selection show

Unread post by bh2oson » Thu Nov 15, 2012 7:55 pm

I found this on NCAA.com:

The 2012 NCAA Division I Football Championship bracket will be unveiled Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU. The show will be the exclusive announcement of the 20 teams that will make the field. Matt Schick will be the host of the show, while Jay Walker will provide the analysis.

I hope it's a tad better produced than a few years back when it appeared that ESPN just sent some intern into a closet who read off the names. Yuck!

Sorry, as you well know that the FCS level and below are the bastard children of the football world and will get no love or money from the BCS/Network cartel. If you listen to any of the football talk shows and watch the prime time sports network show it ain't about anything below the BCS level, the more they can promote themselves the more money in the pots and coffers. Money talks.

I hate it but APP is stuck where we are along with all the rest of our peers becuase our pedigrees and credit scores ain't letting us into the country club. The less the number members to share with the more for the country clubbers, ie. Networks and the BCS.

Heck, all I wanted was to be out of the closet.

For someone without access to ESPNU, does anyone have any recommendations on were to look for the brackets as soon as they are available. Will anyone be posting on this site as they are announced on ESPMU? Atleast who and when App will be playing.

I'd try:
http://www.ncaa.org/
http://www.sportsnetwork.com/

The usual suspects like espn.com should have it up pretty quickly, too.

The AGS board will have the complete pairings up real time in one of their threads (www.anygivensaturday.com). Volume will be high though so it may be difficult to access right away.
