I'm Done

Everyone,

Look at the "I'm Done" post on GSUFlightline. The post refers to high parking prices tied in with donation amounts. What are the true prices for parking at ASU? Several fans are not renewing tickets it seems.

You couldn't pay me $1,800 to spend more than one day every two years in Statesboro.

The GS fan has a legit argument in that they were trying to charge him 3x the normal rate. Seems to me TK and company would want to sell as many spots as possible, without the severe price hikes, until demand exceeds the supply. The scheduling, outside of landing Houston, has left a lot to be desired in the boro. Add in the fact that Eagle fans only had 5 home games (only 3 Saturday games) last season and another 5 home games for 2017. GS is getting 6 home games for 3 straight years after the 2017 season.

I feel some in our fan base would have the same reaction if they were paying the same prices for only 5 home games, especially if App ended up with only 3 weekend home dates.

Oh, I agree our program, starting at the admin level, has fallen greatly. They have lost touch with the fan base that brought them to FBS and seemingly don't care. Scheduling is terrible and it looks like our finances are in desperate times as we seem to leap to quick fixes for shot term money due to financial short comings. If things don't turn around, ASU may be scheduling GS for their FCS opening game soon. To be honest, I had more fun at that level anyway, but that is another post.

I had a lot of fun because I could afford and had fun visiting all the road venues except Mercer. Too, the crowds were more raucous and the stadium was SRO more often. However, now I don't have to miss a game because we are on ESPN3 or other stations consistently. Too, we would never have scheduled the likes of Miami, Wake Forest, ECU, nor Carolina in KBS while we were in FCS.

Library deck and River Street deck (festival) parking can be had for $250 donation. Numbered parking starts at the $1000 level.

Numbered starts even lower. Myself and a few other friends have numbered spots on University drive (Durham Park) at the $500 level.

I think all of those numbers are getting ready to rise. If you already have a space your price wont go up. (at least this year)

Yea, River Street used to be $250 not sure if this is the first year at $500. I prefer Library deck for various reasons. Greenwood is very good numbered parking still at $1000.

For me it's close to stadium and where we tailgate in Raley. Also, it's one of the easier spots to get out of as it's practically on 321 and they usually have someone controlling traffic to let you out.

Thanks. I'll consider it if there are any spaces left. Personally, I don't mind walking that much...especially through our beautiful campus. However, I do like to have a relatively clear path out of Boone traffic on game days.

Good tailgating, nice walk across campus to stadium, easy to get out after the game, restrooms close by (not porta johns).

Man, I wish I could even think about where I was going to park for games...living in Colorado can be tough on Fall Saturdays.
