Great accomplishment for Duck. Freshman All American has a nice ring to it. Things like this will have a big effect in recruiting, we win titles, go to bowls, send guys to NFL and also you can be an All American. Great job Duck.

Congratulations to the young man for this recognition. Just curious though, but how many stars did he have coming out of high school? Stars mean nothing.

First All American in the FBS era for App, I'd say that's a BIG deal. Congrats to that young man.

He was a 2-Star with only 3 guys rated below him. The star system means nothing for most players.

I may be biased, well I AM biased, but it seems as if our football program has a way of developing and growing athletes into great players. I remember the Ronald Blair interview on the B&G podcast when he said he wasn't even getting consideration at all from like ACC schools but came to App and not only became a superstar but is now playing on Sundays, and that's just one example of many.
