I'm not sure what the hell y'all are talking about.

Ditto. Although for some reason the students always get blamed for attendance yet they are consistently very close to accounting for over half the butts in the seats.

Students always show up. I wish they would do a little better for other sports, but that's for another thread. I think we easily have one of the top student sections in the Sun Belt...Could possibly even say one of the top of G5 conferences. Students will not miss this game. Some might go home when we host Idaho and Georgia State, but not Miami.

I challenge everyone on this board to make that game the loudest The Rock has ever been, so that outside viewers overlook the track and terrible end zones sight sores. Win or lose, this is an opportunity for all of us to show our love and support of App State to the entire nation.

A little something to get you all ready for this football season. Side note...The chicks voice in the video is annoying (Sorry if she is anyone's daughter), but this was the only version I could find that has what I call the remix version. Unsure what I mean by remix listen to the drums after the "kick ass" part.

For those that don't want the annoying voice, and traditional version...Forgive me for reminding you of the old logo in this one.

I agree with the positive comments about the students. They typically bring it for every football game. Great atmosphere!

If we could just get them to stay past halftime then we'd really be primetime!

Any word on whether DGillen is considering going back to black endzones sometime soon ?

I sure do hope so. He is pretty open to listening to the fans on some things. I don't mind the green as much as I do the text. But I ultimately miss the black.

I don't see why they cant get synthetic paint for field turf and paint the endzones black, like they used to be.

I mean I like black endzones too, but I cant believe we are still complaining about this, what? 4 years after the fact? We certainly need stuff to complain about on this board but you have to admit this line of lamentation is a little tired. At least we have the Block A at midfield and got rid of the soccer/field hockey lines. Please back to this game, news about this game, your bourbon of choice for this game, the fact that you don't have to wear a white shirt to this game, your tailgate menu, where you are located if that tailgate menu is a good one, or how much you hate the canes if anyone is that invested.

Too bad we can't paint the track black. At least it would less of an eye sore...

The Sun Belt logos are painted on the field and currently look very dim.

A painted black endzone would look amateurish. Might as well wait until the next field turf project.

In terms of impressing a national audience, I suspect the track and especially the end zones are more of an issue for App State diehards than for anyone else.

I am not so sure about that. I think we had to pay extra to get into the SB because we have a track. In addition I believe we have to pay ESPN to televise our games because of that track. I heard that every time we are on TV they get letters from all over the country complaining about it. I am talking hundreds of thousands of letters.

This is not true. Many of my peers frequently commented on the track, and soccer lines we used to have back in the days. The performance of Armanti Edwards and company was their number one observation, however it was noticed by non diehards that our field looked similar to a high school field. I can accept the track, but the endzones look terrible.

I'm thinking a shit ton of Bojangles bo-berry biscuits extra icing, and tequila for my tailgate menu. Location is TBD, but an open invite until we run out to anyone 21 and up.

I don't know why, but I read this in a Donald Trump voice in my head.
