Same here from speaking with other fans. But, we'll see what kind of horses we have on the field the next 3 games. Still hoping for a 3-2 September. Anything better is great since Drink killed us,,,ah59396 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 1:59 pmI look forward to eating crow on this, but my worry doesn’t stem from the quality of the P5 opponent. 1. UGA - National Championship Participant
2. Clemson - National Championship Participant
3. Miami - Mark Richt coached team who won 10 games and App's first time hosting a P5 program
In App's last five P5 games, they are 3-2. In App's last 5 against AP Top 10 teams, App is 2-3. In App's like 3 against AP Top 25 teams, they are 2-1.
Unless UNC is going to the College Football Playoff, this will not be better than a one score differential. How the pessimism has befallen this board, as if Joe Cool didn't just step in and throw four touchdowns and only two incompletions. How USC effectively had two or three offensive linemen out and abandoned the run game completely by the 1st quarter.
Dude's, chill out. R-E-L-A-X.
I predict that Fletcher, Hopper, Collins, Clark, Johnson, Spellman, Davis, Favors, and Funderburk all have big days on Saturday. We saw a grown man in Fletcher knock down three grown men at one point, all by himself, on Saturday. We saw Hopper throwing people aside, holding the line, and getting after the QB. We saw Collins just gracefully, at 6'5 260 lbs, get by tackles and guards untouched. We saw Nate Johnson man handle receivers and tackles as a true freshman.

UNC - 27
It's going to be a good day.
My concern is that I’m not certain we are the same quality as we used to be.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so much doubt from our own fans, that ain’t by accident.

Re: Official Lamb's Parking prediction thread
If you think UNC is on a completely different level than us, fine. Pick us to lose 42-3 or whatever. But y'all picking us to lose by 3/7 are confusing to me.
It could happen, certainly. But isn't everyone else a massive homer? I mean, come on. If you think it'll be close, pick the good guys to squeak it out.
No, we probably couldn't beat UGA without some serious luck/divine intervention. But we can beat the Holes.

Since transition we’ve only been blown out by great/playoff level P5s. Maye is great, but are these guys that good? Idk, we’ve looked worse odds dead in the eyes.app_gorilla wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 9:55 pmIf you think UNC is on a completely different level than us, fine. Pick us to lose 42-3 or whatever. Re: Official Lamb's Parking prediction thread
You may not be a Panthers fans where we are steeped in perpetual disappointment. App has been my saving grace since I was 13 in that regard. There are moments App has let me down, such as Illinois State, Montana in 2009, Maine, Villanova, and even to a certain extent the SC State playoff game that App won 27-20.MrCraig wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 9:21 amAll this same stuff keeps going through my mind, but I just can't believe. I've been burned too many times. Not just by App, but all the teams I root for.ericsaid wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:33 pmBro's, bro's, bro's. As far as FBS goes though, I'm pretty realistic about the odds to win or keep a game close. This is one of those moments that I have no doubt. While I could be wrong, and very wrong at that. A lot of fear from App fans stems from the wrong places and I'd be so happy to see all of the negativity washed away over the next three weeks.

Re: Official Lamb's Parking prediction thread
To me, this is the most talented defensive front 7 App has had at FBS. Whether that translates to wins is yet to be determined. I love Sloans staff on defense and I love the two and three deep in almost every position group on that side of the ball.ah59396 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 1:59 pmI look forward to eating crow on this, but my worry doesn’t stem from the quality of the P5 opponent. Re: Official Lamb's Parking prediction thread
This one had a lot of chances to go a lot of ways, but ultimately didn't come out on the right side. Time to roll off 10 straight wins? We'll see.
