Re: Away Game Tickets
So I am going to lose one the MAIN PERKS that I bought NEZ tickets for 1/3 of home season. Do not like that at all!

Same place they were last year -- on the roof.

Re: Away Game Tickets
What's so funny? How many bleachers should we putt in without blocking the view of the wine and cheese patio crowd? Temp bleachers are what high schools do when a small time school suddenly hosts a big time game. We left high schoolish crap when the Roach left. Next we'll be bringing in more Porta Jons.

We did it last year for UNC. We’ve done it many times. Good lord man, you know this, everyone knows this. There have been lengthy discussions on here every time we do it. It looked so good last year, people wanted them to stay that way. But again, you are on this board enough to know this.NewApp wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 5:46 pm

The best thing to do is not engage him. Just put him on ignore and never respond to him. If he can’t get the attention/reaction that he craves, he will eventually fade away.appstate24 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2023 7:21 pmWe did it last year for UNC. We’ve done it many times. Re: Away Game Tickets
May I ask how so? I really am curious how the bleachers under the NEZ is a problem. This is just an inquiry. Thanks.

Re: Away Game Tickets
The area underneath the NEZ was sold as there would be a field level patio for NEZ ticket holders to use before and during the game. This is a separate area than the Rock Garden area which required a separate ticket. The bleachers last season for the UNC game were necessary to accommodate the larger crowds. The bleachers are being used again for ECU and from a logistical point, they will need to be up for GW as well. So to the posters point, access to a piece of the price tag is being prohibited for 2 of the 6 home games.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 10:47 amMay I ask how so? Re: Away Game Tickets
It comes down is having the temp bleachers for two games, including the biggest home game for the second season in a row, worth angering the NEZ premium seat holders?
After the two September games, the next home Saturday game is late October. So if you're a NEZ ticket holder who can't make the Coastal weekday game, you only get three potential cold-weather games to enjoy the patio.

Re: Away Game Tickets
How much does it cost to rent and install the bleachers?
They’ll gross ~$500k from those two games assuming they get $200/seat cumulatively.
They’d have to lose quite a few NEZ ticket holders to have a fiscal impact and the wait list is long for those.
When demand is high they have leverage to put short-term gains ahead of previous arrangements.

Re: Away Game Tickets
Everyone is different and what is important to them. I have a pretty laid back attitude on these types of things. When I purchased my NEZ seats, we were communicated that there would be a roof to cover us from the elements. That was important to my wife when we purchased our seats. The roof never evolved into reality. I got over it.
I do like the patio. It is pretty cool to be there when the team comes out of the tunnel. I will live with it for the greater good of revenue.
If they take my seats, we may have to have a discussion![🤣](//cdn.jsdelivr.net/emojione/assets/svg/1f923.svg)

Re: Away Game Tickets
Agree with you on the patio. I’m cool if there is a need here and there. My concern that I communicated is that it was a 1 off last year and this year it is a 2 game occurrence. As of last month, there were plans for seats but it was not going to affect the patio. Now it seems it has. That’s fine as things change, but communicate it.

Re: Away Game Tickets
I like to watch the players warming up from the ground view level and interact with acquaintances that don’t sit close to me. While I can still talk with them the bleachers block my view of the field. I coached for 40+ years and am used to watching from that level.appgrad95&97 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 15, 2023 10:47 amMay I ask how so? I really am curious how the bleachers under the NEZ is a problem. Re: Away Game Tickets
I don't have tickets in the NEZ so I don't have a dog in this fight. Seems most folks have a good attitude about this issue. I can see being frustrated over "disappearing perks." That said, I thought the design of the seating (leaving the open bottom area) was a missed opportunity when they built it. It seems to be a no-brainer to add seating (permanent) there, but now that the seats have been sold, I do think they would need to offer some sort of benefit to the existing seat holders. Maybe they can extend the current guaranteed pricing for a couple of seasons. Maybe that would retain and appease the exisint seat holders while allowing for easy expansion. Don't know how that would fly though.

Re: Away Game Tickets
They don't want permanent seats there because that space is needed for practice. If they were to put permanent seats there, they would be on wheels (or something similar) to allow for practice during the week and moved for game day.Yosef84 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 16, 2023 8:46 amI don't have tickets in the NEZ so I don't have a dog in this fight. Re: Away Game Tickets
Speaking of losing perks for the NEZ patrons. Does anyone know the reason for not adding the cover for the seats?
