There's certainly much to discuss - but of much less importance - how was the DJ - Band combination? - haven't been able to go to a game for a couple of years but I know there has been a lot of complaining in the past

About the same, I would love to hear more band though, feels so much more like a big college game when you hear the band rocking out. The sound system needs some work, could not hear several announcements or anything Ms. North Carolina said when she was speaking.

Never been to a live sporting event like that, it was unreal.

Where did the Heels' pep band sit? ESPNU showed them a couple times or more, but couldn't tell which stands they sat.

I have been expecting 8-4 maybe 7-5 this year. We lost a ton of talent on defense but even with the points yesterday I don't feel as bad. Offense was way better than i expected. 8-10 wins is doable in my observation.

I was thinking 8-4 like you but I could see 9-3 now. After A&M we won't see an offense as good as what we saw yesterday. We do have to get better in the secondary though. The safeties got torched and I wondered why UNC was actually calling run plays at all in the second half instead of letting Maye do draw read type plays. When we kept LBs around to prevent it he just picked our safeties apart and when we dropped to help cover them he just tucked it and ran. Safety play definitely has to get a lot better.

I am a big Chase Brice fan and I think he will get playing time in the NFL. But for me a running quarterback that can somewhat throw the ball is impossible to defend.

Chase is a good player and will get a shot but Maye is a little more consistent and way more mobile so that makes him lethal. It will be interesting to see what he does in the ACC this year.

I was in 206 West and could barely hear them. Of course, the helicopter overhead to help. Frankly, it was hard to hear all that well their halftime show. However, they were loud and clear in the NEZ.

I have been a critic of game ops for the last several years. From my vantage point in the East Stands and walking around the scoreboard at halftime:

Lots of Positives:

1. We still had food options available into the 4th Quarter.
2. Drinks seemed to be readily available and I found a no wait water and soft drink tent behind the scoreboard at half time.
3. Cups with Ice were available
4. It looked like most of the crowd was in their seats by kickoff
5. Legends/Doughton parking had no student cars at 8:00 am (students had to move their vehicles by 4:00 am
6. A new, temporary small digital board/scoreboard on top of the NEZ
7. Temp bleachers looked like they fit the stadium.

Cons:

1. Good or bad, give us replays. There were really no replays in the second half


Overall, it looked like 40K was planned for and managed.

First two rows of visitors section east stands. APP band was in East side of temp bleachers.
NO, I do not want the temp bleachers permanent, they restricted my movement and enjoyment of pregame.

I was sitting on the West side and didn’t think their turnout was a bad look given the size of their school and geographic proximity. I’d say they made up 20 percent of the turnout overall.

It's not like we can put 40k in the stands. So, I'm glad they paid to get in. I'm just sorry they left happy.
