We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: NEZ Update Query
I'm sure renovating the lower bowl will be a high-dollar project somewhere down the road. Hopefully by then our attendance numbers justify a "horseshoe" expansion in the lower bowl.

Re: NEZ Update Query
Love the drawing. I feel Miller hill would be the side to get bowled in, either fully or partially. But that wouldn’t be for a while. Apparently the sight lines on the NEZ side we’re not going to be great under the new stands, hence one of the reasons why they opted for a field level patio instead of a bottom level of stands.
I do agree though that the east side stands should be the next to see an upgrade or rebuild at some point. Even if it’s not moved closer to the field, just take down those bleachers and make a nice double decker concrete stands. Some have even talked about adding luxury boxes to the eat side but we are a ways off from that. If the NEZ does really well then that could be something to look into.

Re: NEZ Update Query
Taking CV-19 in consideration and the fact it is endzone seating, I believe the NEZ has done well from a ticket sales perspective. Given the general trends in college football and basketball with general attendence declines (including our own App St with 13-1 record not selling out games)... less is maybe more. My personal opinion is that the next steps should be to erect luxury outdoor and indoor seating on the visitor side similar to home side. Less seating requirements at much higher dollars.

I would have to agree with that. Especially if the NEZ does well.
I think if they did want to erect luxury seating, they would need to address the East stands first to enable the building of luxury suites so a whole revamp of the east side would probably be necessary. I do wonder how much they could squeeze in that area with stadium drive on the backside.

Maybe that project would also incorporate moving fans closer to sideline. Nothing like have the fans on top of visiting team (Cameron like..I hate Dook..but admire home court advantage)JPatH3292 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 7:40 amI would have to agree with that. Especially if the NEZ does well.

Re: NEZ Update Query
I dont see us building another facility like we have on the west side. At least anytime soon. That is a lot of money. I could see us demolishing the whole east side and building in box seats/indoor seating between the upper and lower sections, similar to what you see in the panthers stadium. I think this would be much cheaper assuming there is a demand for more luxury seating. This would also not encroach on stadium drive.

I don’t think replacing the west stands would recall a complete demo. The stands aren’t connected to the tower so you just need to replace the stands.

Re: NEZ Update Query
I don't foresee them adding any sort of tower to the east side, as the current stands are already looming over Stadium Drive. Unless they tear down Quinn and divert the road there, there's no room. My assumption is that they will bowl in Miller Hill before they do anything else with the east stands. That's still a long way off, though. We need to consistently sell out season tickets and regularly sell out walk-ups/day-ofs. That's not happening right now, so this will likely be our holding pattern for the next decade.
