While I agree, I was never impressed with Floyd. Thought he was pretty terrible actually.

Wasn’t too good. You’re right. But his length and size make get him a “pay day” somewhere else. Bigger programs have no problem throwing $100k+ at these guys for bench depth.

I always found myself looking at the back of his jersey in “coverage”.

I know we wanted him bad last year.
Pretty sure him Dubinion and Dozier all came on a visit together. Glad he’s home!!!
He was an Elite 11 guy in Hs.

Don’t get me wrong - schematic fit is huge for these guys, and the Purdue situation could have been dreadful to the point Tom Brady couldn’t perform. I’m so confused - do we have money or not? Hasn’t it been reported our NIL budget has doubled from last season? I’ve seen up to $5 million reported in funds.

I like the pickup. He’ll have Lewis and Kanye to run the RPO with along with our highest rated player at TE, the 5’8 speedster from BC in the slot and Mbake. Need to add a big play guy on the outside, but like how this is shaping up. Need to get the Oline shored up. We already have our field general on defense. Build up the line and work around that. I’ll be surprised if we lose any games at all next season.

I personally was hoping for Marcus Stokes. Before his social media incident, it was planned for him to compete for the starting role at Florida as a true freshman. He was a finalist for the D2 equivalent of the heisman this year. Dual threat that seems to have the it factor.

Would assume DLo learned from this past season and won’t be throwing NIL at two different QBs so that ship has likely sailed. Not sold on Malachi. Reeks of SEC bias by DLo (shocker). Do not like the fact we chased Malachi hard all last portal, for him to ignore us for Purdue, just to come crawling back. Who knows though. Maybe he will turn out here. Hopefully I’ll be eating crow at the end of next season!

It was a thought that crossed my mind as well, but reality is this is our market. And someone coach and some of our players has familiarity with.

He’s also mobile.

I gotta be honest, nothing here gave me a warm fuzzy. He stares down receivers and didn’t seem very mobile. Only went 22 yards on 11 carries. I’m hoping against hope it was just due to Purdue being awful, but am not convinced.

Agreed. Demond Williams (the guy who was whooping up on Purdue in the clip above) just hit the portal days after signing a new deal with Wash. With the level of musical chairs going on at the P4 level, you kind of have to get a “Buy Low” guy so a desperate program with a lot more resources doesn’t come in at the last minute and offer a guy like Dickens or Stokes an insane amount of $.

I doubt we only settle for 1 QB.
