A serious football school would have fired someone today. Anybody. Yesterday was a complete failure by every single coach and player. Accountability is gone
Which school, with a first year staff, has fired coaches in the first season after a bad loss? I am genuinely curious for some examples
I don’t think anyone really expects an actual firing. Mostly just blowing off steam. But the ass kickings are troubling
I am not expecting any either. The poster made an assertion as this happens all the time at a "serious football school".. simple question...who has? I have not even inquired who he/she thinks should be fired at App. St...just a genuine question about where this happens at other "serious football schools"..I just have not seen it. Nothing more or less to the question.
I will not be surprised if there are some changes in the off-season...and I would prefer the hiring of an OC. In my personal opinion, I think an offensively minded or defensively minded HC should not be calling plays. I think, by not calling plays allows , them to see the big picture of what is happening in the game. Being caught up in the decision making of each play sometimes does not allow the HC to see bigger picture. Make critical calls from time to time...but not many of them. I, myself, was a little surprised we did not hire an OC.
