So is he enrolled and on campus now, or does he have to wait for summer enrollment? Maybe different for a grad transfer?

Playoffs??!!! We’re talking about playoffs??!!! Until the transfer portal and NIL stuff gets worked out, a second level of playoffs shouldn’t happen. Marshall would have been an automatic qualifier but half their team left. The validity of that 2nd level playoff will be affected with players of those teams selected leaving and fielding a team that has no business being in the playoffs. Majority of the teams in the FBS playoffs don’t have the excessive exodus so not as much of an issue there.

In order to make it work the transfer portal would need to be closed until the playoffs end. I know, it doesn’t work with the start of the spring semester but none of this works now.

He is a summer enrollee. We are still working things and have a couple of visits coming up, as well as the spring portal, of course, but any others we pick up will be June additions.

It’s been proven that the recruiting system is by no means an exact science as 5 stars can flame out and 3’s can play in the pros. Offensive linemen are a curious bunch for me. A kid can be 6’5” and 300+ lbs in high school and he gets a scholarship to a lower level FCS or a P4. You never know how he will develop in a year or two. Like some coach once said, you can’t teach size. Maybe this guy will fill a hole because he’s certainly big enough to.

The reason the NIT is needed is to prove the separation between the 17 thru 32 in p2 m2 and G5 is not that big of a gap.

The NIT football playoff needs to include all division champa of all conferences that did not make CFP playoff + next highest rated in final CFP poll that did not make the playoffs. People would watch this. I think LOTS of people would watch.
