I hear Kickstarter is a good way to make money without actually doing anything. You guys should start one to fund his firing. Just avoid calling your project the washington redskins. But I have heard of some slogans that will work miracles in getting money pledged.

That's reasonable. You're right. It's impossible from your written description for me to decipher all of the nuances and tones of what you experienced.

That's happened to me a lot on this board. I just chalked it up to my waning levels of articulativeness. Evidently it wasn't the only factor.

PBR, I know I was not there either but I know you are a loving and caring person. So in the future, PLEASE consider saying to the players that are putting their physical and mental efforts on the line, day in and day out, a simple statement like " Thank you for fighting for APP State" or just "Thanks guys, I am behind you 100%".....talk to them like they are your brother ;-) who is being kicked all over MMB ;-)
I like the kinder, more gentle, supportive PBR

Well the house they used to live at is for sale but has been on the market for over 8 months, they might be renting it at this point. I dabble in real estate so I have access to those types of things. It is a really nice house by the way if anyone is looking for something in the 500-600k price range. Let me know if you need representation. ;)

Iggy....my or your brother would tell them to get their heads out of their asses! I'm supportive but what do you want me to do? Sing them lullabies ? I rarely call out individual players and I think my support is evident.

Scott, if you truly love App (which I believe you do) then you need to resign. You aren't ready for this job. I wish you well but it's time to go. This is not acceptable at Appalachian State.

Trying to figure out how a team with 85 scholarships (technically 80 now) loses to a team with 63 of them considering that when we had 63 as well we use to beat them? There are no excuses. This is just plain bad.

It's one thing for us not to have the talent or for there to be improvement shown each week but it's coaching. Too many bad play calls, mental mistakes, and poor leadership shown by this staff. The sad thing is that Scott is so immature as a leader he won't take responsibility for his faults or even as a whole. His ego won't allow him to look in the mirror and see what he did wrong.
I don't have a problem with people being mad ( I am too) and bringing up legitimate concerns, but let's keep things somewhat rational here. Did we not ever beat a team with 85 scholarships when we only had 63? Did we not lose to Liberty 2 times before this?

Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not mad at anyone, but am perplexed as why we keep using strategies that aren't working all in the name of fielding a true FBS team in 2016. Mediocre for a couple a years would be halfway acceptable....but this?????????????????????

Let's break it down one by one:

- And it's Jerry Moore all by himself, right?

If we don't want to create a double standard and hold JM to the same standards we're holding to Satt which is "He is responsible for everything" then I would say JM is nearly all to blame for the significant decline in talented upperclassmen. Yes. By the way, this does not in any way diminish how I think of him as the man who helped build a dynasty we've all enjoyed for nearly a decade. For me, it's just a fact.

- The fact he kept losing top assistants due to low pay was all his fault, too?

Nope. If JM could print money like the federal reserve it might be his fault. Coaches leave for better opportunities all the time. Not JM's fault. However, those coaches replacements are absolutely his responsibility.

- The fact that potential recruits and their high school coaches knew he was a short timer was all his fault, too?

...what? How did high school recruits and coaches know he was a short timer if JM "didn't know" it was his last year? Craziness.

- Jerry was to blame in many many ways, but truth is there was and is enough blame to go around including the one who sits in the coach's office as we speak as well as the former head honcho' now im Georgia.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how is Charlie Cobb to blame for our lack of upperclassmen talent right now? Sure, Cobb's responsible for all of the old timers who hate what he did to JM, but how has he hurt our talent on the field? Because our roster has only gotten stronger with talent since JM left. Again, just facts.

Evidently everybody but YOU and Jerry Moore knew he was a short timer or at the very least was wanted to be a short timer.

The lack of upper class men is not the only thing wrong right now. The lack of " experienced" assistants is only one of many more.

I'm just not in the mood for a further piss fight today.

Sorry. I should've been clear. I used quotation marks as sarcasm because it's been proven via FOIA that JM did know.

Also, I thought that was just a bad excuse for having poor recruits... "Well, you see, I'm a short timer so I can't get anyone to come play for me..."

At the end of the day, the HC is the one putting the official stamp on the recruits. It's not complicated.

I'd say he did get some good recruits or we'd suck even worse. We inherited some problems to say the least, but our record shouldn't be nearly as bad as it is. It should be .500 at least for the past two years.

Yes. He got good recruits like Kendall Lamm, Ronald Blair, Doug Middleton and John Law. Those guys are awesome. But that level of talent was not consistent enough to sustain good teams. To me, that is logical.

I agree our record shouldn't be as bad as it is. We should've beaten Liberty and Southern Miss this year and Chuck South, A&T, Furman and Citadel last year without question. What of it?

Same about you. I'm just not a pass the buck kind of guy. Rather, I like to spread the blame and credit around...when there is any.

No lullabies, we are basically playing with a JV team, or average FCS team, or a standard FBS team that just moved up.....do your research and you will find out that very few (2-3) teams actually had a smooth transition.
A few did well the first year and sucked for years after, most 90+% went through exactly what we are going through on the field and in the admin office.

What makes you think we are different, with limited money, no AD, new Chancellor, a young team, young coaches, a beloved coach that made things worse when he left because he was upset he didn't get what he wanted..........This pain was bound to happen.....there is no getting out of it BUT what we can do is support the young players on the team......we can change coaches if you have the money, otherwise you are ENFLAMING a situation for nothing.

you didn't read the brother thing right My meaning, if people were all over their ass on MMB, I believe you would tell them to back off, and you would defend them like we should defend the players that you helped ;-)

I am asking you to see the BIG picture and understand what is happening is the NORMAL process and ITS UGLY...we just have to fight through it TOGETHER....I will be there at the next home game cheering, and at the last home game this year, and all the game next year because asking to FIRE HIM will not get the results any sooner and the players deserve my support.
