Don’t assume that we will replace a game with NC State with someone with either an opening on that day or in need of a game at all. There are 14 Saturdays in next years schedule. 3 of those are currently locked in with OOC opponents so you have 11 weeks to fill a game and two byes. 8 dates will be conference games but those are flexible from the conference’s standpoint. You also have to factor in that games on the schedule get moved around all the time which makes the possibilities endless. Let’s wait and see how it plays out. If what they are currently working on comes to fruition, then most of you will be happy.

So, we are playing the Cowboys or Lions Thanksgiving Thursday...so the other game has to be moved to the Cowboys or Lions bye week... it's going to be great...

I can’t divulge but I’d rather play the Lions as a victory over the Cowboys doesn’t count towards that 6 win threshold.

Although I don't even ever remember seeing news of the NC State game until Clark let it slip in the press conference (many suggest it was his way of tying to apply pressure). It was never really announced as they started trying to back out of it almost as soon as it was signed.
