Re: Game week in Boca
1) Bowl Game in South Florida during the winter months with 80 degree weather? Yes!
2) Chance to get some beach time in while watching App Football? Yes!
3) Bowl Game on ESPN for many eyes? Yes!
4) Chance to go 7-0 and continue making History? Yes
5) Opportunity to drive final stake through the CUSA heart with win? Yes!
6) Opportunity for a great senior class to leave with some hardware? Yes!
What is there not to like??? We should all be pumped about this game. So excited to head to Boca tomorrow and check out a part of the US I haven't seen yet.

I wouldn't expect bad weather at 11am in South Florida. That's pretty uncommon. Bad weather doesn't usually start until mid afternoon at the earliest.

If we don't bounce back, realistically APP could be on the way to a 5 game losing streak carrying on with A&M, UNC, and Marshall in '22. Not sure this has ever happened in my 40 years, maybe the Working days?ncman071 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 13, 2021 6:14 pmI feel good about this game...we tend to bounce back after a loss...and our bowl record speaks for itself. We've had some time to heal up any nagging injuries as well as getting a solid week of practice in this week. Yes Zappe can throw the ball really well and has a couple nice receivers. Our defense I really believe will be up to the task and our offense will find ways to put points on the board. This is a big game. Chance at 11 wins
disclaimer, I'm still down on a few facets of meeting our potential and/or wasting our talent on the offensive side of the ball this season through the championship game. Yes, we won an enviable number of games for most any program but am puzzled by our underwhelming success with what I consider the best group of offensive talent we've fielded. Dale Jones did what his part. WKU can very well beat us and propel us more into a tailspin. The table is slanted against us winning the first 2 and maybe 3 games of '22. Our resolve will be tested.

Re: Game week in Boca
I think we need to go back to the saying from Scott Satterfield
" Always Attack "
Let's start All our games with a lead and pound.
My worries are like the FCS vs. P5 days where team locked down our WR's and put 8 in the box.... game over.... We need separation from our receivers or ..... else!!!

You know you don’t have to watch football, right? Like, you could spend your time on literally anything else that would bring joy to you instead of relentless negativity.
A tailspin? Get a grip.

I would agree this game is important to quiet the unreasonable portion of our fanbase under control...
10 wins with our schedule is a solid season. 11 and bowl win would be a great season.

I do not see the "slanted table" as you do against North Carolina or Marshall. Both of those are very winnable games. A & M will be tough but who knows what may happen? Let's take care of business Saturday and then start looking towards North Carolina. One game at a time. Beat WKU!Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 10:59 amIf we don't bounce back, realistically APP could be on the way to a 5 game losing streak carrying on with A&M, UNC, and Marshall in '22. Re: Game week in Boca
Maybe we start a dam five game winning streak instead. Look at the glass half full and filling, not half empty and draining.

Shaun Jolly out for bowl game. Says on Twitter he’s focusing on NFL draft. Anyone have any details?

Seems like playing against the #1 passing team in the FBS would be a time to shine.
Disappointing.

Re: Game week in Boca
We were among a small number of teams who won 10 regular season games- tough to do no matter what. Lost a tough CCG. To speculate that we could lose our next 4- to include the first 3 NEXT YEAR might be one of single dumbest glass more than half empty things I’ve ever heard. This App team is pretty damn good. We have never lost a bowl game and tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. Next year is a year away. Good lord dude.appfanjj wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 11:31 amI do not see the "slanted table" as you do against North Carolina or Marshall. Both of those are very winnable games. I’ve seen on Twitter (grain of salt) that he had some academic eligibility issues. Maybe failed some classes. I’m not sure.
