Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
In order to be a proponent of believing that people need to be "willing" to wear a mask (non pandemic times to save us from common cold and flu), I would believe that this would have to now be a part of the "willing" proponents everyday life from this day forward. One has to set an example. As such, going forward, proponents of this approach will wear a mask 365 days of the year when in near proximity of human life... I would think this would include dining out at restaurants...mask up throughout the meal.....not just to get to your table...and of course, while sleeping if you have a significant other....one would not want potentially spread the flu or common cold to others at the table or restaurant or heaven forbid why sleeping......if you do not mask it up 24/7 365 days a year even when no pandemic, some would believe a proponent of masks .do not give a f* about others and their well being...

I stand corrected in not suggesting some of you have no nuance on current affairs. This is the very nuance we all need to appreciate.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 7:37 pmIn order to be a proponent of believing that people need to be "willing" to wear a mask, I would believe that this would have to now be a part of the "willing" proponents everyday life from this day forward. The politician from SC, whose political affiliation will go nameless as not to make this more political than needed, was tweeting how Covid was a big lie from his hospital bed. Dead now.Rekdiver wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 5:16 pmThose that don’t understand by now that masks have helped saved lives with one of the most virulent pandemics in modern history are just misguided. Particularly with the new variant it’s important. Not more than getting the vaccine which will save even more but the sum of preventative measures. For those who want to “Live Free or Die” It may be live free and die. “Stupid is as stupid does”
A right-wing talk radio host going on about the vaccine. Dead now.
It is starting to happen, which is a shame since the vast majority of cases are preventable. Again, not 100% preventable with vaccine and masks but so much better chances of either not getting Covid or much lessened health problems.

Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
The typical condescending response. Do you know what nuance even means? See I can be condescending too? Nothing a i wrote was hyperbole. I worked from home for a year. My wife’s place of employment shut its doors for a year. People were not around each other nearly as much. But in your snark to insult me, you completely ignored that we pretty well shut down as a country which may have contributed to the lower flu rates. Or maybe it was masks as well. I’m willing to examine different positions. And I told you straight away I had no problem with your stance to wear a mask if you saw fit. I opposed the idea the idea that humans should wear masks to avoid colds and pointed to overall health improvement as a different approach. You have no argument. You said you lived your life inferring I was the one scared to go outside which is funny as the overall tenor of your comments throughout this thread are ones of doom around every corner. So I’ll say again. Get vaccinated. Wear a mask if you want. But can you stop lecturing everyone else?McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 5:49 pmNotice I typed "willing" and I did not say "required." And no one was locked in their homes. Again no nuance. I went out as needed and shopped. If you were locked in then that was on you; either that or someone switched the locks around on the external doors of your home. I assume that did not happen.
Again no nuance on anything, no nuance and twisting around what was typed at that. Your an App grad. You can do better.

Nobody is going to change their mind ( actually about anything anymore ) and this is going to go on for a long time. Our lives will be interrupted in many ways. People will get sick. Some people will get very sick and the hospitals will stay full. Some people will die. Sports seasons will be interrupted and we will bitch about it. We are a polarized nation and when we make up our minds they will not be changed. Anyone who does not agree with us in an a$$hole. This is the new America. Yes we are APP Nation but we are not really any different. What's for lunch.

Following up on Gonzo's post, I was at the Panthers game Saturday night. No masks were required to get into the stadium, none required to use the restrooms, none in the seating areas, but they were required to go into the team store. If you didn't have one, they would supply one for you at the door of the Team Store. I did see many people wearing masks there- you do whatever is right for you.

Likewise, at this point there’s really no reason for this thread unless you going to be on club level.appsfan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 1:04 pmFollowing up on Gonzo's post, I was at the Panthers game Saturday night. Yea, but is calling someone stubborn, misguided, uninformed, selfish, & stupid make one an a$$hole??? Even when that person may be the one that's stubborn, misguided, uniformed, selfish, & stupid? Or does this only work 1 way?Rekdiver wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 12:00 pmI dont think anyone that disagrees with me on this subject is an a$$hole....stubborn, misguided, uninformed and selfish maybe but being stupid doesnt make you an a$$hole. for an incentive if everyone gets a shot then WVAAPP Mcleanville App and I will have nothing to talk about!bcoach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 23, 2021 11:37 amNobody is going to change their mind ( actually about anything anymore ) and this is going to go on for a long time. Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
I have Black Masks & Gold Masks. Which one do y'all recommend?
I'm leaning toward a Black mask, since it might go better with my black shoes, socks, underwear, shorts, & hat...with a Gold polo.

Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
With the FDA's full approval of Pfizer's covid vaccine, the last reasonable and responsible objection to getting the vaccine is gone. Mandatory vaccination is now a reality for all active service military, large private companies have implemented mandatory vaccines, governmental units, i.e., states, cities, departments, are beginning to require vaccines. There is a long and growing list of universities that require vacinations, including Princeton, Emory, Duke, and the University of Michigan.
Responsible and reasonable Americans see mandatory vaccines as the right thing to do to protect each other, help the economy, lessen the medical burden on our hospitals and health care workers, and, get us back to a reasonable semblance of normal life.
The anti-vaxers and anti-maskers will come up with thousands of reasons why mandatory actions are wrong. We've listened to them all, tried to provide what we know and believe to be known truths, introduced weak covid measures to make them happy, and, resisted implementing strong anti-covid measures for fear of offending them. We'll soon reach the point where the unvaccinated group will never change their mind voluntarily.
It's now time to stop trying to accomodate them and accelerate mandatory vaccines for everyone medically eligible, but, provide for reasonable and provable exceptions. For those who don't qualify for an exception or simply refuse the vaccine, impose effective requirements on them to protect others.
As a nation, we're already divided on so many things, mostly political. Covid shouldn't be one of them. It's a common enemy to all of us, it's daily killing or injuring many of us, and we're all in this together. Patriotism demands we take action together.

Re: Mask at BOA Stadium
With the FDA's full approval we should now remove all restrictions, and all concessions for covid. Time for the Anti-vax and Anti-max folks to put up or risk infection. If you chose not to get the vaccine and you get sick you are on your own. Pay full fare for treatment and if you miss work you don't get paid. If you have a medical condition preventing you from getting the vaccine you have the ability to wear a proper mask and protect yourself. End the discussions on this and put the pandemic in the rear-view. USA baby, we beat this crap. Got that vaccine out in record time and it works. Just in time for Football season too!

Just wear it. It doesn't hurt you and let's all try to get through it. I don't understand why that's so difficult for some of you. Go Apps!
