If we lose again, we deserve third, but the conference championship is always the goal, and it’s now in our hands. Nobody can do it for us. It really comes down to the game we always thought it would- last game- Troy- our place.

Georgia Southern is a decent team but not a great team. They've made unbelievable progress since last year (coaching), but the fact is that App beat App that night. We were missing key players but the primary problem was execution and the number of mistakes on the field. We made them look much better than they really are. It's not believe we were over-rated, although perhaps we weren't quite as deep as we originally thought.

App needs take care of business against GSU and then play our "A" game against Troy. Zac is back and he looked very good against a solid Texas State D.

Georgia Southern is an average to below average team that has been extremely fortunate in way of turnovers. Some perspective on how fortunate they are. From 2015-2017, App was a +22 in turnover margin. That is an average of +7 per year. Southern is a +21 this year. It stinks to lose to them any time, but we beat ourselves in that game.

I know the “one game at a time” posts are obligatory, but LOL at Georgia State being a trap game. As if the wizard coach Elliott has some mystical insights into us (that he apparently neglected to employ last year when he had a better team).

We win by three TDs, minimum.
