Off subject but, what happened to the kid who transferred from UNCC? I know he sat out last year.

The WR/QB? I forget his name. I think he's just sitting the bench for you guys. I can't remember the story for sure, but I was thinking he was told he'd have a chance to play QB at App. He was a WR for us.

Obviously he's not going to be playing QB for you guys either with Lamb looking like a stud.

Jaquil Capel. Buried on the depth chart.

Capel came to App because that is where he really wanted to go in the first place. I believe family pressure to stay close to home is why he went to UNCC.

He came to App as a WR but has just been beaten out for playing time I guess

We should also look towards the former UAB players. They will not have to sit out a year

If Green wants to play RB I don't think he will give us a look. With Cox, Upshaw, and Fergueson, playing time would be limited.

What happened to him? He was a Mid 3* back and hasn't even touched the field!

Gather he's more a change of pace back... Hopefully find some creative ways to work him into the offense.

And Nikia Cathey, and Jalin Moore.

I think one of those three finds their way into the rotation next year.

Cathey is more of a scatback while Boyd is a guy I think we will run most of our offense through.

My question is how long will it take Daniel David to get the starting QB spot? Will he ever beat out Lamb a la Kam Bryant, or will he have to wait until Taylor dons his graduation robes? What about if we get Marquane Goodman who looks like Armanti 2.0? What then?

Cathey could very well take over the punt return duties next year. watch his highlights. it was something he excelled at

Goodman is probably a fallback at this point if David doesn't sign (unlikely)

and, like mentioned above, they'll wait. David will likely be redshirted next year, like JP was this year. after that, JP and David will fight it out for when Taylor graduates

Goodman has committed to NCCU. It's on the Recruiting Main Page.
