We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: App @ GS -2.5
-Our rivals own us
-We are madly undisciplined
-We have beat one conference team that finished with a winning record on the road in the past 3 years
-We lose a ton of seniors this year including the quarterback. 20+ seniors alone
-We can’t play complimentary football
I don’t know what other evidence you need to see that this program needs a reset in the worst way. And we’re told we can’t fire our coach because we don’t have a chancellor. Whatever, man. It’s tough for me to find a way that we can be good next year if we run this back.
New assistants? Who wants to come work for the man with the reddest seat in the spot?
Obviously we see teams rebuild a roster in the portal in one offseason, and while this regime has certainly found some players in the portal I’m willing to bet our hit rate is just average at best.
Next year has serious disaster potential.

I appreciate this perspective because I have a young family and 4 season tickets is not a small expense for me. We don’t have money for overnight trips so we make 5 hour round trips every weekend we have a home game to see this team play. That is a large time and financial commitment for us, and one that unfortunately is not worth it where this program currently stands. I love App State, but sacrificing the money and time that I do to watch Shawn Clark and Co drive this program further into the ground just probably isn’t something I’ll continue to do. It’s not so easy for all of us. If that makes me “an Ellen” then so be it.8993 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 9:59 pmI hear you, but people are also entitled to spend their few spare dollars elsewhere if their money doesn’t speak volumes when leadership makes unpopular decisions, no?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 9:56 pmWere there some poor coaching decisions. Corey Lynch went like 5-40 in HS, but loved to work out, loved the game, love to practice. Wasn’t recruited heavily. Ended up in The NFL. It takes work, not just throwing NIL. What about Jason Hunter?kicked off the damn team. Worked to come back, made it to the league. Hell look at Bucky. Transferred from WCU, worked his ass off, in the league. We need leaders. We need means not the ends. We need team players, not individuals. We need coaches that players believe in, not coaches that players question. It’s not rocket science. It’s basic. Look at JMU, SC, Boise, BYU. Army, Navy, Memphis. Teams that win 1 believe in the team and the coach to lead them 2 enjoy outworking everyone else 3 find players that others can’t find. That’s it. Thats the formula. That’s what we had for 40 years.

I think we had the talent to win this year.....we had no coaching design. It looked like a middle school offense amd the defensive sche.es could have been run in elementary/boy'sclub/pop Warner teams.
MikaiJackson is going to get paid somewhere.

Re: App @ GS -2.5
If we “can’t” fire him I at least want this AD to put forth some sort of plan for how we’re going to fix this program that is so clearly headed in the wrong direction. I’m done hearing about how the school administration still supports him. Can we get an explanation for what the plan is to fix this program in the next 8 months so we don’t go 3 out of 4 years without bowl eligibility? Much less actually winning a conference championship

Radio crew saying we have the right coaching and the right players. He's back next year 99% IMHO. They are blaming fans fans for rejecting it because of only losing season in years and years.
Ringing pretty hollow and sounds like the admin has made up its mind.
Sounds like the admin is going back to the philosophy they had when I first got to Boone....Athletics is a compliment to a well rounded education.

I’m over this “anybody who doesn’t continue to, or can’t, throw thousands of dollars at this program, even when our leadership doesn’t care about our input and is willing to accept being mediocre, is less of a Mountaineer!” take and attitude. Money is tight for all of us, from top to bottom, and this perspective towards those of us who choose to spend our money elsewhere just isn’t it.
I’ll cheer App on whenever and however I can, but I won’t be guilted into spending more on a program and coaching staff that refuse to adjust with the times.

Getting the state media to carry the water. Oldest trick in the books. Jokes on them, I don’t have to listen to the broadcast, either. They keep turning a blind eye to the consumer and they will go out of business.Apptiger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:22 pmRadio crew saying we have the right coaching and the right players. You can not fire Clark because we don’t like the optics with Helene or we don’t have a chancellor and while I won’t agree at least I understand the argument.Apptiger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:22 pm[Radio crew saying we have the right coaching and the right players. Re: App @ GS -2.5
Higher ed is already in a major enrollment drop off. App has built its brand off of being a premier football school. If App loses its athletic advantage, we’re going to completely fall off. And I mean staff cuts left and right, major debt, and a total collapse of the brand that we all know.Apptiger wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:22 pmRadio crew saying we have the right coaching and the right players. This isn’t the time to play pretend and act like it’s 1997, 2007, or even 2017. Times have changed rapidly and we’re falling behind.

Re: App @ GS -2.5
I respect your opinion but I respectfully disagree with it. 1) you don’t have to donate to a presidential election to partake in the results. Yosef club members do. 2) most supporters don’t make NEZ money. I’m glad you do, but considering you do, it hurts others a lot more to donate than it does you due to income vs. outgo. 3) most people donate with their heart….if nothing changes, the heart Is gone.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 9:56 pmWere there some poor coaching decisions. I didn’t make some games this year because it simply wasn’t worth the money and time to witness this mess of a season.

Say you don’t donate big to the program. If those that don’t, but go too all the games and spend tons of money in town, it hurts Boone if the game attendance drops. Keeping Clark hurts Boone.KentHogan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:52 pmI agree, gets tiring hearing some fans act as if you’re a traitor if you dare demand a winning program in exchange for all of your money and time.8993 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:26 pmThis a million times over.MtnMan14 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:09 pmI appreciate this perspective because I have a young family and 4 season tickets is not a small expense for me.
