Don't want to take many more swings at the dead horse but in looking at USA's starting lineup for Saturday, here is the breakdown :

Offense - 8 Seniors, 2 Juniors, and 1 Sophomore
Defense - 9 Seniors, 1 Junior, and 1 Sophomore

No Excuses ! We need to play for pride while our youth is growing up. Just want to see some of the grit that has surfaced in the past.

Edited the defense as I did originally have 12 but had 11 on offense.

I pulled Troy's starters to see what we are up against in our next conference game. Troy offense consist of 3 Seniors, 5 Juniors, 3 Sophs and one Freshmen. Defense starts 5 Seniors and Juniors and one Soph. They don't seem to have the same size up front that we have been dealing with. Bodes well. Paraphrasing the immortal words of Lou Brown, "win this week and then win the next week and that is two in a row. That's called a winning streak. It has happened before."

Can we give all the naysayers a big $h!@burger to eat if we do?

It's called the previous staff failing at recruiting and molding talent.

Previous staff didn't have any problem molding it into winning seasons.

Previous staff wasen't trying to compete at the FBS level with that same group.

How we'll did this staff perform with them last year?

So, in your world it makes sense that a first-time HC, taking over a team moving from FCS to FBS, with no postseason to play for should get a grand total of 17 games to win or be fired. Seems legit...
