The butthurt around here is nuts. Some people losing interest. Some people comparing lengths of time they've followed the team. Others pooping on fellow Apps for differing opinions on the current affairs of the college world. Good grief.
I will say again, as ive repeated so many times on here, these are not kids. They are adults making adult decisions. College age people have never been kids nor will they ever be kids. Their childhood ended when they graduated high school. Their fellow class mates are work 9 to 5 jobs, getting married and having families, fighting for us in the military, yet we don't call their age group peers kids. Stop treating college age adults like kids and we would see a big difference in many things associated with college athletes behaviors. They are not a protected class that gets to still be kids for 4 more years. End reality rant.
It’s easy to make a general statement like yours and paint every player with the TP/NIL brush while sitting behind a computer screen. But do you ever look these kids in the face, in person? Do you know any of them personally? I imagine you don’t, and that’s why it’s easy to post stuff like this on an anonymous message board.
And that’s the end of my reality rant.
Uhhhhh....what? I never said NIL/TP. You can keep calling them kids all you want and they will continue to act like kids. It doesn't change the fact that they are adults making adult decisions. If NIL is a part of their life then that presents adult choices they have to make. If NIL is not a part of their life then they have to make adult decisions about playing, effort level, desire etc...There is no way you can rationalize it or slice it to avoid the fact that these are adults making adult decisions. The whole "you don't know so and so" is such a silly argument that people back into when they dont have anything of substance to back their statements. The reality is that you have no idea who I know and you never will. It just goes back to what I said in my first post. You're just being another fan looking to bring down another fan. Its just sad. We are having a down season and it certainly brings out the worst in some of yall.
I've also never seen a kid playing for App State, I've only seen adults and when I am around them I treat them like the adults they are.
I completely agree with your “kids” take. When your children make mistakes we say that they are only kids. It’s an explanation more than an excuse. When adult age college athletes screw up, showboat or appear to not give a crap playing a game they are being paid to play or at the very least a (still) free scholarship some refer to them as kids. Certainly zero 20 year old young adults fighting in the military are absolutely not kids. Do we take this stuff too seriously? My god yes. I let this ass whipping go over an hour ago.

We are class A of minor league. No sense being upset.
We look like a college summer league team at this point

If calling it that makes you feel better than you're welcome.
