What information are folks missing? Very curious.
In its simplest terms, the games are played on Saturdays. They are won or lost in the prep leading up to the game. There are always obstacles within the prep that cause issues. Some can be overcome on Gameday. Some can’t.

Haven't watched their games, but ECU's QB threw 4 INTs against ODU and 3 against Norfolk St (along with a fumble in each game). If there is a "Get Right" game for the secondary after last week, it'd hopefully be this game.
We have got to make their QB feel a sense of urgency...he is not good typically when rushed..(I get it..could be said for most QBs)..but he is prone to make bad decisions trying to make something happen...

Last week I saw a post saying Klubnik was a garbage QB, he must have got wind of that?

We made him look way better than he really is. He will struggle in a couple of games this year. Remember, we can make bad QB’s look pretty good at times.

It is all about pressure on that kid. Looks like a rock star when the pocket is perfect...which it was all the time he was in the game Saturday night....
Someone like ga tech that can blitz and make him move will give him problems...no clue if tech plays them or not

In all likelihood, we are neither the playoff bound world beaters some thought we were, nor the "in deep trouble" team some people are now saying we are. The ECU game will be a good indicator of just where we are. It will also shed light on our chances against Liberty the next week. Hopefully, the improvements to the secondary will be apparent, and we'll be on our way.

I hope our players and coaches don't give up as fast as our fans do. It is embarrassing to read App fans comments on here and facebook.
Fans act like they know 100% of the issue with only 10% of the information. :D
100% may be an exaggeration, it is more like they know 1000% of the issue and 1% of the information.

I was feeling generous.

To be fair, there is a great deal of siphoning of information that comes out of the school. It doesn’t mean that it isn’t available. You just have to know where to find it.

I pray our secondary does not make this interception prone QB look like Klubnik, We have got to get our DL to put pressure on him , I am tired of our D making these QB's look 5 star quality. Blitz or stunt the heck of their OL!!

This is an apples to apples match up G5 vs G5. We had better be ready. I think we all realize there is no magic unless we make it. Gotta get back on track and focus Saturday. No looking back.

I’ve grown tired of that statement.

Goals- Win NC (over)
Go undefeated (over)

Those should be included as goals no matter how improbable they are. I wish he’d stop saying that every year after an awful loss.

I’m not surprised the line is close, but I think we win and cover.

This past weekend sucks. I know we’re on a new thread and not looking back, but we all know it sucked. But we basically have zero structural, culture, or scheme advantages over Clemson. We’re fast? They’re faster. We have real football culture? They have such a head start it’s not funny. I grew up in SC, as I said on the other thread, and growing up, no one cared about basketball and the Panthers didn’t exist and all anyone talked about sports-wise was Braves baseball (a distant second) and Clemson/Carolina football(and no one ever needed to specify which Carolina. Garnet, not baby blue.) Allegiances were assigned at birth, and to be honest I knew almost nothing about App football before I bucked the trend and was lured by the mountains.

Clemson got burned and embarrassed the week before by a school an hour away that has leapfrogged them in every way. And they caught us flat footed and made us pay.

Now we face a school that, if the fans I know are any indication, still thinks they are closer peers with NC State than they are with us. I heard a lot of “you’ll be sorry” from ECU fans when we transitioned. Now we’ve eclipsed them in a lot of ways, and they too have an interest in making us pay. But I think we have more talent and more drive. Let’s see if we can have more focus. I think we can.

We caught Clemson on a bad day, maybe ECU will catch us on a bad day.
