NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools

Have no idea of the impact, but the next Speaker is an App grad as Moore is retiring.

Greensboro paper this morning mentioned this bill is dead in committee. Sounds like Speaker Moore killed it and said it would never leave committee. (I did not bother to read the entire article.)

From the article I quote Speaker Moore (uncheat alum): "It had the hearing it will have....I told them they could hear it in committee, but it won't come to the floor," Moore said, adding jokingly: "I mean, everyone knows Carolina is going to win all those games anyway."

Blue blood, snobby, obnoxious, condescending arrogance at its finest.

Speaker Moore needs to be tested for Dementia, 2019 wasn't that long ago you know. Maybe he meant that Carolina will probably win those game seeing how the ACC officials will determine the outcome anyway, like last season. They're known as UNCheat for more than one reason.

Doesn’t surprise me, politicians rarely pass bills that don’t benefit them in some way.

I think the bill would be great for college football in the state, but apparently Moore doesn’t care.

Wouldn’t be surprised if pressure was applied from UNC, NCSU, etc. Those schools don’t want to be forced to play App, it’s a game that they get no credit for winning, plus it’s a hard game to win, and they would lose on occasion.

It’s almost guaranteed that the Power schools in the state applied pressure to kill the bill.
