Have the same concerns about our defense as anyone else, but since my opinion doesn't matter and I can't stomach picking against the Apps (or for the Holes):

I hope our defense has made adjustments. I say App 35 unc 31 but it can just as easily be a blow out win for UNC if the defense of the second half last game shows up.

Re: Official Talking Toes prediction thread
For the 'Neers on Saturday, Roof is the Ceiling. If our defensive line and secondary makes plays on a young QB and stays relatively penalty free throughout (especially dead-ball fouls), it could get ugly for the Holes.

Re: Official Talking Toes prediction thread
I've watched every App and every Holes game. I'm confident App will score at least 40. I'm not as confident our defense will hold them low, but I also think they might not score 40/game all season.
Therefore
App 42
Holes 35

Screw it. I'm saying Roof figured this place out after the bye week.

Here is to hoping that my faith in Roof isn't misplaced, if it is it could be a long season. Our D shows up and punches the holes in the mouth right out of the gate and they never relent.

Re: Official Talking Toes prediction thread
I never try to predict a score because my homerism interferes with my judgment. With regard to the D, I will just point out that in 2014, one week before we finally turned the corner at Troy, our D was torched for 55 points against LIBERTY (FCS). In that game, it wasn't even mental errors and penalties. We just didn't seem to be able to stop them. Yes, the situation is different this year, but I also think our talent pool is deeper. I think the D answers the bell this week. I don't think the Heels can stop our offense, so I think App wins but I'd take the over (set around 55 I think).
