Maybe we should give this guy a shot. He certainly could clog up the middle.

Incoming QB, JP Caruso, had a nice game (256yds, 4TD) this past weekend to lead his team in a come from behind victory in the 8A regional quarterfinals.

He will need another big game this week for his team to advance. They are a 17 point dog.

Just a heads up but I'm on the trail of a possible 6' 5" 280lb OL commit. I'm only going off one little tweet from a family member and I think I have the player figured out but I don't want to say anything until I can confirm it. I'll update ASAP.

Decommits - happens to the best of them - surely isn't about W-L record ---

"Late Monday, ESPN 300 offensive guard Viane Talamaivao (Corona, Calif./Centennial) decommitted from Alabama and gave a verbal pledge to the Trojans.

Talamaivao's father, Chris, confirmed the commitment."

Ok everyone. This has been an unusual day. As I stated above, early this morning I picked up a tweet from the sister of a possible commit but nothing else anywhere. This recruit was the very definition of "under the radar" as none of the big 4 recruiting sites had a profile on him. I shared the info with John and Mike at 24/7 and began to dig. Lost internet, power a few times, and phones, since they are through Charter. And since I'm currently nursing a large knee and sick at the same time I'm stuck in the downstairs surrounded by block and rock which makes my cell phone iffy at best. What a day.

So, what this boils down to is that one of the "large youngins" at the UTC game was OT/OG Madison Malone (6′ 4.5″-6' 5" 280) of Briarcrest Christian High School in Eads, TN/Memphis, TN. He was offered after the game and committed today. I have added him to the Main Page and placed a player page with video highlights up for him. Thanks to John and Mike at 24/7 for doing some leg work when I wasn't able to call out myself. Very glad to be able to work with them.

Commit #17 for now.

For those of you who have already viewed the page for Madison Malone I just added two more sets of highlights and also added DT to his Secondary Position listing. Thought some might want to take a look at the other videos.

Briarcrest is the alma mater of Michael Oher from the blindside.

well, App has a selling point to Eaton, the WR from MS that coming up for a visit. he'll get to play a game in his home state. not sure how much of a help that will be, but use whatever tools you got :D

From twitter and internet reports WR Omar Black (6′ 2″ 190) of Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, GA has received an offer from App. I have listed him on the Main Page and built a player page with video for him. The Rivals and 247 2 star is showing additional reported offers from UNCC, Ga. St, and Hampton.

Did I catch on the post game that Tucker Lee is "moving on from the program"? Is that correct? What's the deal there?

Lee and Rommel Andre are both Redshirt Jr's and Austin Chambers is a transfer who have decided not to use their last year of eligibility. Academically they are all seniors. That's why Andre wanted to score so bad on those last few runs.

Probably just going ahead and graduating like Anderson and Scott did last year - before they decided to come back for their final season of eligibility ---

Posted at almost the same time WV. Anderson and Scott are both in Grad School so they were/are still here.

According to internet sources RB Josh Boyd (5′ 10″ 180) of Norcross High School in Norcross/Snellville, GA committed to App on Thursday. I heard some rumors about it but John over at 24/7 just confirmed it. This is a big get for App as he is a Rivals 2 star and 24/7 and ESPN.com 3 star back with a reported 19 offers including many FBS and some BCS offers. (Washington St, Air Force, Buffalo, Campbell, UNCC, Fordham, Furman, Ga. St, Illinois St, Jacksonville St, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Presbyterian, South Alabama, Syracuse, Toledo, UAB, UNLV). He's one of the two backs I thought we had a shot at. I'll be moving him to the Commits section of the main page shortly.

I just added his mid-season hudl package to his page and was watching the clip. I was thinking the same thing. We keep him and get Rollins we are going to be stacked at RB heading into SB play.
