The red zone mistakes have to be fixed and please pound the ball in when your RB has 100+ yards and has been marching you down the field.

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood
I’m fascinated by some of the takes in this thread. I’m not happy about the game, but we DID win!
Do yall watch other football? You know the other team practices and schemes and everything, right? You know teams usually take a season to get on track with a new coaching staff, right? I mean, Nick Saban lost to ULM his first season at Bama.
App’s got a lot to work on this week, but they’re still 2-0. There is a LOT of football left to be played. Chill out.

BUT, you can’t be happy with our performance today.
If so, I ask you “Do you think DLo chewed their butts out after game or not?”
There is nothing wrong with high expectations and what comes along with that are critiques when you did not do your best.
Son, I know you can do better than a D on your class. You have the ability to make an A but you made too many self inflicted mistakes so I am unhappy with your performance.
Nothing wrong with that.

Was at the game, if it could go wrong it did. We scored so easily we lost our edge and could never get momentum back due to turnovers and penalties. Should have beat thus team by 40, didn’t, receivers need to catch the ball

Oh I 100% agree with you. I’m referring to the folks on here who already seemed to have decided that Loggins was a bad hire, all the players suck, and we may not win another game.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 6:43 pmWe did win which is good.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 6:37 pmI’m fascinated by some of the takes in this thread. I agree…let’s at the bright side…we could be in the same boat as the Gators and Lavender Billy right now.
Maybe Boise wasn’t that bad…USF is really good.

Exactly. Funny thing is they were all Fred Flintstone dancing around the house on their twinkle toes last week and this week did a 180 into chicken little.

Yes we watch and easy to see mediocre football. Not sure how anyone can defend the turd dropped today. Play better next week.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 6:37 pmI’m fascinated by some of the takes in this thread. I’m not happy about the game, but we DID win!

USF just beat Florida, at Florida. Troy played Clemson close. JMU played Louisville close. App played Lindenwood close.MrCraig wrote: ↑Sat Sep 06, 2025 6:37 pmI’m fascinated by some of the takes in this thread. I’m not happy about the game, but we DID win!

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood
There were 7 drops that I counted, and I think I include the bad ball by Swann on the slant.
I also don’t recall seeing any real RPO’s or similar plays to what we saw last week. I really do believe DL went NFL on offense and called as few different plays as possible which resulted in the offense being out of rhythm compared to last week. I could be totally off base and the result is an embarrassment either way.

If this group sounds like the sky is falling, we hired the wrong coach, "bring back Shawn", and "this performance is on the coaches" you haven't read anything. Try perusing Facebook and all he armchair quarterbacks and lounge chair coaches who have all the answers but no football experience. They will make you develop an nervous tick; think Inspector Dreyfus.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood
We scored 7 points in the first 10 seconds and 13 the next 39:50
The quarterback for Lindenwood is a tough kid. He got hammered over and over and kept getting up and fighting. The crowd didn't play at it's highest level either. It was pretty quiet. The band rocked...they seem to be back.
I still think we have a good team. Something was off but it wasn't horrible. I think Lindenwood is going to have a good season.

We won a game that we should have won. We dominated a team, statistically, that we should dominate. Was it pretty? No. Too many self inflicted wounds killed drives. Fumbles, drops, guys letting throws get into their body, you name it and it went wrong, but we won. Everything is correctable.

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood
Turnovers and dropped passes bad play calls and penalties change complexion of ballgames.
I think we are better than last year, with a lot to clean up
Passing on the one yard line we you are running it down their throat was a bad play call by our coach
