I’m not going to start freaking out and saying our season is in danger, but the penalties, the dropped passes, and turnovers are concerning. This defense kept us in this game. We make several corrections on offense and we will have a great season.
Something was mentally off today, at least that’s what I’m hoping. Not sure what happened in a week, but damn this was a tough watch.
We had and probably took months preparing for Charlotte. I doubt these guys were even looked at before Monday. That's concerning but the turnovers and dropped passes huge issue. Stats say we should have won by 40.
Still more optimistic than same time last season. I dont feel the doom and dread i did. That's just me though

You can clean up fumbles and penalties so I am still happy. Offense moved the ball easily. Defense was good for the most part, we definitely seem faster.

Catch the dang ball or don’t play them.

Where is Mbake and Dozier? Anyone have insight? Hope we get them back ASAP. Stroman can’t play consistently

I am glad we weren’t playing Campbell today.

Stroman needs a coming to Jesus moment. Either go out there and give your all every play, or don’t even show up to the games. He shows so much flashiness of being a hell of a recover, but they are so few and far between.

I bet on this game. Sorry guys. I shouldn’t have.

CFP shot is gone even if you go 13-0 now.
Not that it’s likely, but that’s a terrible take. If we go 13-0, we will have wins over Boise, Oregon St. and JMU. That’ll be good enough.
Oregon State? Boise who lost by 24 to USF? JMU who just lost Louisville?

I don’t think it would.

At any rate, if this game is a sign and not an anomaly, 3-5 in conference is likely so it doesn’t matter.

That said, the offense ran very few of the same plays they ran last week so I am wondering if they went too vanilla on the offensive game plan this week.
They did go pretty vanilla on the scheme, but we expected that. Regardless, the turnovers penalties and miscues are what hurt.

Hats off to DJ and the defense. They spent the majority of the game on the field and played lights-out. We got some DUDES on D.
I didn’t see any RPO’s run like last week in Charlotte. It all seemed very straight forward basic hand off or throw. Hoping that was the issue and why everything seemed so disjointed.

That said, play like this from here on out and you lose every single time.

Keep the personal attacks and the politics out of it. The game was bad enough without that.

If this team was “prepared” we are in Clark territory.

That was App’s closest FCS win since 2013.

Ok, lets all take a deep breath. We got out with a win. As many new faces as this team has, some inconsistency and mistakes are to be expected especially early on. I think we can get things corrected. I still also think this team has potential to be really good. We are 2-0. On to So Miss.

Let’s call it like it is: App came off an emotional win in the season opener, felt good about where they were and overlooked Lindenwood.

And got away with it. In the end, we 2-0 for the first time since 2019.

I really avoid the ridiculous CFP talk but in reality all G5’s are in a season long playoff mode. The team who ultimately makes it has to probably go undefeated or 12-1 with a CC win. At least we are still 2-0. Movin on

You’re not alone. Stats show we dominated the game, but a handful of very weird plays and major mistakes kept it close. HUGE improvement from last year.

Yes, for sure. Just win.
