The players wanted this. Period. The whole idea of a conspiracy theory saying that the athletic dept put the players up to this is beyond stupid, I'm sorry. If you can't get behind the guys that put on the uniform, it's your problem, and while this whole thing will undoubtedly fail, it's not going to be because I'm too stubborn and proud to wear a different color t-shirt for ONE GAME.

When UNC wore black uniforms did their fan base moan about it? I hate to use them as an example, but colors like white and black are neutral enough to the point that no one can really "claim" them.

AGAIN, I must say - every home basketball game I have attended or watched, the APPs wore white - many of the away football games I have attended or watched on TV, the APPs have worn white --- I am with most all or you that if it were my choice the APPs would always wear all Black at home - but we are talking one game - Really? ---

I don't think it's about wearing a color for one game.
It's about a disconnect between admin and players who don't know history or don't care about it. It's an uncomfortable place where Newbies are changing things. Most people don't like change. Some sensitivity should be shown by the Newbies to the Oldies. In the end, we will all survive.

Someone should consult a psychologist on change.

Listen, we've changed traditions many times since my 1970 freshman year. The disconnect may be more due to your personal preferences than longstanding tradition. IF the players want a game with us wearing white fine. If anything I'd say the Admin is in tune with the players and coaches and that works for me

I'm not for the white, but if they want it, whatever. They better smoke ODU like last year or they won't wear all white at home for a long time.

That said, we better not let ODU wear black on our field. There would be a revolt against the administration.

If ODU wears black, and we lose, Gillin will never hear the end of it.

If ODU does not wear Black they are really missing the boat. We opened ourselves wide open for that. If it were Duke who is really good at using others mistakes they would all show up in Black and Gold. If ODU does not show up in Black I will be very surprised.
