We look unprepared almost every week. Never know what you’re going to get with this team and coaching staff. I’d love to hear all the excuses this week and how ULM is just another great sunbelt team. What a joke.

I wouldn't say we look unprepared. Not sure I would blame fumbles and interceptions or lack of coverage on preparedness per se. At some point, the players have to actually play the game and we need to stop blaming the coaches on the poor play. Our DBs aren't covering at all but I think we would all agree that Sloan is a very good DC and especially with the DBs. Again, we need to hold our players to a standard and stop always blaming our staff.

It’s a player-led program. So, it’s the players’ fault. Never minding someone had to recruit them.

I would say our defense does look unprepared. We seem to have prepared for them to run the ball 99% of the time, as we’re pushing our safeties up and leaving our DBs on an island to cover 1 on 1. And we’re getting completely burned on it every single time (except for the great play on the pick 6). What I don’t understand is why we haven’t yet made any adjustments to stop it.

This game feels like the WKU game a couple years back we just happen to be tied.

He’s giving his all……but we’re reduced to rolling with a Juco transfer. Not ideal. But who the Eff are we kidding. We’re 2-2 and headed towards 6-6. We are what our record says we are.

Pretty early to say we are headed to 6-6 having just started conference play don't ya think?

Hopefully Burger will be back soon. There is a reason he won the battle after spring and fall camp. Lets get him completely healthy and see where the competition takes us. I think Joey has done a decent to good job but he makes too many mistakes for a team that is young and trying to learn how to win.

Did you see something in the GW game before he went down that really shows he's that much better? Turned wrong way on play action multiple times, looked very timid in the pocket, nothing stood out to me as his return will change much. Small sample size, and not much to go by but still...

The "other QB" is always the most popular on the team when a team is underperforming.

He was purportedly hurt on the third play of the game. If that is actually true (I have no way to know) then I will cut him some slack and give him some credit for trying to play through the pain. Sure, he didn't look great, it was his first college start AND he was injured so I cut him some slack. I know this much, he won the job which means he at least performed better than Joey in practices AND his father is a football coach and I really like QBs who grew up the football coaching dads. Taylor Lamb wasn't the best qb in the world, but I challenge anyone to find a qb with a better understanding of the game. That goes a long long way to winning games. Again, I just want him healthy to be able to compete for the job as I think that makes everyone better.

The biggest travesty of tonight is that only 50 ULM fans showed up to cheer on their team while they give APP all they can handle. Man that place looks bare.

I don't see all doom and gloom. Offense looks good, Joey made an error but that's not the game. Our secondary needs help. They seem confused on coverage types and assignments. The front is bringing pressure but it falls apart behind them. I'm not sure the answer aside from the DBs hitting their assignments. Maybe pull a WR or two to play defense?
