Re: NC's Band of Distinction
I could barely hear the band at all on the tv telecast on watch espn app. What I could hear was the canned music. I was at the UF game this weekend (its a lot closer to me and one of my daughters attends) and they only play canned music during time outs, all other times it is the bands job to play music. I couldn't help but think that would be a good plan of action at the rock. We play too much canned music and not enough of our band.

The echo can sound really bad (as we saw in the Big House round 2).scatman77 wrote:Why not put up some microphones at/near the BOD's seating section? I seem to remember Clemson's band always sounded really loud when they played; no way they could generate that much sound in that huge stadium without some amplification.

I saw that also on the screen during pregame. Not trying to be mean but it looked horrible. They sound great buy they have to clean up that formation quite a bit.AppStMike201 wrote:Not to be a stickler, but the "A" formation (pre-national anthem) looked incredibly sloppy. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me from the copious amounts of beer, but the camera doesn't lie.

The announcer did a fine job the spotters not so much.
Please kill the canned music. Please don't embarrass us next week. This is a collage football game not a concert. .
We are proud of our band and want to hear them.

Can we bring back Krypton Fanfare at the end of the 3rd and dump the "song of the game" mess?

Re: NC's Band of Distinction
Canned Music should only be played during initial warm-ups, TV Time outs and between 1-2 and 3-4 Quarters. The BoD should play all other times... Pregame show, halftime show, post game show, kickoffs, between plays, after TDs and change of possession without time outs should be the BoD mic'd up with speakers.

As a former member of Band of Distinction, they need to improve their formation. Everything else kicks ass.AppStMike201 wrote:Not to be a stickler, but the "A" formation (pre-national anthem) looked incredibly sloppy. Re: NC's Band of Distinction
At Tennessee, they had big speakers at the visitors section blaring their band when they played, trying to drown out our chants.
There's way too much canned music. If I want to hear club music, I'll got to a club or a pro sports event. I can only hear the BOD six/seven times a year.
