No insider info here or anything just saw this on twitter and I'm assuming this is his rivals profile.

Thanks, Hans. I've added his name to the master list.HansBatichon wrote:ahmad mitchell @foreign_muscle

By the way, something I've always wondered, are you the former unheralded wideout from our glory days?
Re: Recruiting, 2013
I'm sure this is disappointing news but no I am not the former WR. I just attended ASU from 05-09 and Hans was one of my favorite players. I always felt like he was kind of overlooked.AppGrad78 wrote:Thanks, Hans. I've added his name to the master list.HansBatichon wrote:ahmad mitchell @foreign_muscle

Edit: Btw, thank you for maintaining and updating this thread. You do an awesome job keeping up with ASU recruits. This is one of my favorite threads to keep tabs on!

Re: Recruiting, 2013
App has 12 Sr's with 7 being starters (if you count both RBs). There are 18 JR's on the roster with 12 of them seeing significant time or were tabbed too (Rodger Walker).
SR position breakdown:
RB - 3
WR - 1
TE - 1
DL - 2
LB - 2
DB - 2
P - 1
JR position breakdown:
QB - 1
RB - 1
WR - 2
TE - 4
OL - 3
DL - 1
LB - 1
DB - 3
PK - 2
Looks like RB is the main focus with 8 of the 35 recruits manning the RB position. Probably need to land 2 RB's, 2 TE's and 2 DB's. Find 1 more QB, 1-2 OL players, 1-2 DL and 1-2 LB.

Two names popped up recently with interest in App: RB Ken McDowell (5-8, 185) of Gray's Creek High School in Hope Mills and walkon redshirt freshman LB Denzel "D.J." Ward (5-11, 223) of Northeastern High School in Elizabeth City, who says he's looking to transfer from Virginia Tech.

My stepson plays on the team with Ken McDowell so I have had many chances to see him play, he is fast and shifty but will also run over you. He currently has the most rushing yardage in the state. He also might look to try and be a dual sport athlete with many saying he is better at Baseball. I think with APPS recent success in Baseball this can bode well for us getting him for Football too. And with the RB position possibly being one of the big areas we need to replace next year, this might be a win win for all of us.

Re: Recruiting, 2013
Like the sound of both of these players. DJ Ward would help to bring some competition to the MLB/ILB position against Law and has a year of tutelage under Bud Foster.AppGrad78 wrote:Two names popped up recently with interest in App: RB Ken McDowell (5-8, 185) of Gray's Creek High School in Hope Mills and walkon redshirt freshman LB Denzel "D.J." McDowell has decent size and could help to feel the void being left at RB. Plus he could possibly help the baseball team out...win-win!

I am friends with some of Lucas' family and have watched him play. He has excellent technique, quick feet and above average strength. He is a "lean" 265lbs. Being recruited heavily by Ivy League schools, William & Mary, Richmond and getting interest from VaTech & UVa.
