You mean Cheatwell would have run all over Coach Spit's team, almost glad we didn't play that one.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 1:34 pmWe likely would have been 5-7 anyways. Chadwells Liberty team would have ran all over Sloan & Co.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

True. This was about the time they started barely communicating anyways. Hard to have a cohesive team with coaches not working together.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:22 pmYou mean Cheatwell would have run all over Coach Spit's team, almost glad we didn't play that one.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 1:34 pmWe likely would have been 5-7 anyways. 7-5 minimum. 8-4 is my prediction. 10-2 ceiling depending on how the defense and OL struggles from recent seasons transform.

Re: Preseason Projections
BS? Were you watching the same Spring Ball game that I was? No one stood out to be better than the other. If anything, the true Freshman showed me more upside than the others. And yes, the guys that Loggains brings in are going to be the guys that he is most invested in seeing be QB1. I’m sure that the guy that stands out in fall camp will be the one that will get the nod. There is no point in discussing this with you because just like your brother, you aren’t interested in any opinion that doesn’t sound like yours. Have a great evening.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 1:34 pmHere you go again with your BS. “Preferential treatment”. Outside of the Swann kid, most of these guys haven’t seen the field at their previous school(s) to know if they are any good. And Swann isn’t a guaranteed QB1 for us. As such, I don’t know that its accurate to say that the talent looks good on paper.t4pizza wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 9:21 amNobody knows anything about this team at this point. Heck, we don't even know who are going to be our starters. On paper, we picked up a lot of good talent but that talent was very thin on experience so nobody really has any basis to judge at this point. I hope we don't finish 5-7 but honestly I have no idea how we will play. I am hopeful that we have a good season and at least make a bowl, but won't be shocked if we don't. This really turned into a complete rebuild and with a first time head coach, first time DC, and lots of other first time parts....it is really a blind guess as to how we will do this year.
I didn’t mention Wiles in any shape or form. Never said I think he will be QB1 and I certainly don’t look at him getting the starting nod as some form on vindication for the previous staff. I was referring to the current group of transfers coming in. Swann and Kohl are going to get preferential treatment over the other three simply because they are Louggains’ guys.
This is the type of behavior that got you booted from 24/7.
By the way, I can go back to 24/7 but I chose not to because David receives no info anymore. Waste of money.

Kohl looked the best in the spring game itself. Not sure what you saw. Gillon looked very good but I would still give the nod to Kohl.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 5:23 pmBS? Just like my brother? Not sure what that means and I believe you may have me mistaken. Let’s not make things personal for no reason and keep things civil please. Hope you have a great evening as well!

Re: Preseason Projections
I have no idea what our final record will be at this moment. Too many variables at this point.
Here is best I can say. I do believe we have a significant upgrade with our coaching staff. We may have equal talent. Question is can staff get them dialed in quick enough. My bet is we get better as the year progresses but I don’t know how good we will be out of the gate. That will determine our ceiling.

Re: Preseason Projections
I was fearful of 4-8 or 5-7 if we did not make a change but I have no clue what to expect with so much turnover. I don't think we go 5-7 either but I have no expectation. I am not sitting here feeling like we have to hit a certain number of wins or it is a failure. I am completely open this year.

Re: Preseason Projections
Goals:
- improve as the season progresses
- develop game plans which include not spotting the opponent 7 or 14 points every game
- adapt to play to our strengths versus stubborn play calling
We do that wins will come in back 2/3rds of the season.

Re: Preseason Projections
Agreed. I think this will be an interesting and exciting year. New faces, new optimism. Im just going to take it all in, support the team and hope for the best. I have absolutely no explanation as to why I think we will do better than 5-7 other than D-Lo is all about setting a standard and delivering on it. Ill believe he can until he doesn't.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 9:35 pmI was fearful of 4-8 or 5-7 if we did not make a change but I have no clue what to expect with so much turnover. Re: Preseason Projections
Same here. I have a guess of how many games we win but I don’t have an expectation. I won’t be disappointed unless we look bad weekly and do way worse than last year. There is a lot of turnover in the league overall so anything can happen.AppDub wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 10:01 pmAgreed. I think this will be an interesting and exciting year. New faces, new optimism. Re: Preseason Projections
I just don't have expectations for success this year and not sure going forward with the money grab that is now college football. Changes had to be made and they were, so there is a glimmer of hope, but I just can't get on board YET to our new coach being the answer, but I hope he is. The ranking of worst offensive coordinator in the NFL still sticks in the back of my head. Hope he is THE man though! https://247sports.com/nfl/chicago-bears ... 110539571/

Re: Preseason Projections
The lease will be shorter this round, but expectations are justifiably lower this season than probably any season since year two or three of FBS.
Some will be consistent in their criticism, some will be faster to judge, some slower. All three will be evident.
