Show my the literature in peer reviewed journals. Time magazine doing a story does not count. Show me the literature from around the world to support your statement.

Saturday morning, 5:35. Snow showers winding down. Temperature has actually risen to 31. But that wind.

Broadly supported media doesn’t count is a great argument.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 3:13 amShow my the literature in peer reviewed journals. Time magazine doing a story does not count. Show me the literature from around the world to support your statement.

The goalpost on global warming..or…climate change…or whatever has moved so many times, you might as well not even put it in the ground. Similar to covid, etc.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:59 amBroadly supported media doesn’t count is a great argument.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 3:13 amShow my the literature in peer reviewed journals. Re: What's the weather going to be like?
The planet has been in existence for quite a few years/decades…how far back do we have legit weather tracking? Is there documented weather patterns or history from say, 1901? When you consider the age of earth 1901 isn’t that long ago but when you consider the age of technology it’s an eternity. I’m sure we are doing things as a society to F up aspects of our planet but some accusations are also mere speculation.

Not a crazy amount of snow in Boone/BR, but that northwest wind will make it pretty sporty out there. Today at the tailgate would be an ideal opportunity to roll out that new Irish Coffee recipe you've been eyeing.

It’s Boone! Comes complete with hot and cold running weather. The expected wind today could make the passing and kicking games very difficult.

This is one of those days where we run the dang ball with our 1,000 yard rusher behind our dominant bulls up front.
Those were the good days.

Correct , mass market magazines that are not peer reviewed are not scientific journals. It takes 1 person to write on article and it be published. That does NOT count as scientific consensus. Having. 97% of climate scientists around the world agreeing in peer reviewed journals should carry more weight .Saint3333 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 5:59 amBroadly supported media doesn’t count is a great argument.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 3:13 amShow my the literature in peer reviewed journals. And there were published articles going back 100 years cautioning about the amount of carbon going in the air. If you are going to cherry pick something why not cherry pick the even older article, unless you are driven by political means and not underlying scientific knowledge.
Question: If I start a magazine and hire a writer to write about gravity will you accept the results? My mass market publication will not be peer reviewed, but that is not a concern for you it would seem. He can make a statement about gluons and gravitons and such and state we don’t really know how all this works. I’ll publish it. Would you risk injury stepping off a loading dock with precautions.
Just being published does not make things correct, and for that matter peer review is not perfect. I admit that, but it is better than anything else we have.
And to pull out one day of data is, well, not smart. Record low in November for Boone is -8 F. Based on that one datapoint I should suggest Boone is having a heat wave today and use this as evidence of climate change. I am not stupid enough to suggest that. Sadly that sort of logic is exactly what many climate change deniers are doing.

You would ignore evidence provided as it doesn’t support your bias.
