WHAT A DAY ........WHAT A THREE WEEKS
GO APPNATION!!!

But on a side note and to my amazement besides all the obvious.....I am dumbfounded as to why we didn't have ...or this site isn't indicating ....record breaking traffic today on this site.....I guess social media such as FB, Twitter and the like has raced past the ol Yosefs Cabin.
It’s because we won. For a lot of people on here, if they can’t bitch about a coach or whine about an 18 year old that doesn’t perform to thrir video game standards, there’s no reason for posting.

Look we won the game, but take your rose colored glasses off. Our CBs got exposed today. They looked slow and got burned. They were able to pass the ball all day. The zone d just wasn’t working with no pressure. We showed that we can get to him if we bring an extra guy. The offense also struggled. We were pushed around at the line a lot today. We were lucky and we pulled it out, so let’s hope we can tighten up the coverage.

On a side note, from my seat a few of the pi calls were bull. The face mask happened in front of me and the dudes helmet came off from getting sandwiched. I could have missed it but didn’t see the face mask. Survive and advance. On to the next one!
The D didn't look great yesterday. In general, I think the team energy / execution was not where it has been. That's not too hard to understand given they are coming off of two extremely emotional games. I'm not trying to make excuses. It is what it is, but there is a reason people talk about "let down" or "Hangover" after a big game. What WASN'T down was effort. This team absolutely never quits.

The defensive secondary has always played back somewhat to keep the play in front of them. The good news is that we didn't give up the big play like we did against UNC. Let's give Troy credit though. We knew they could sling the ball and were going to get passing yards. The biggest issue on D was tackling and I think that was where the fatigue came in. We had at least two drives stopped and gave it up by letting them pick up a third and long AFTER having the play stopped short. I don't think that will be a problem going forward. We were missing Cobb and Harrington on D. I hope we can get healthy and go.

Troy was my pick to win the West and right now, I think there is a very good chance that winds up being correct. I think Louisiana has better depth, but if Troy can stay healthy and if App can keep things rolling, we could see a re-match in December.

Let's get healthy and take it one game at a time (Peoples, Noel, Wells, Harrington, Cobb...anyone else I'm missing). JMU will be fired up next week. The target is squarely on our backs so the Apps can't coast in any game.

I am so glad I was at the Rock for this game. I have seen so many great App finishes in the media. This one was special. I told everyone around me that this was our endzone, the miracle on the mountain endzone, and sure enough it was. I won't lie, I thought we would drive and get a field goal with the limited time we had, and when it got to 4th down, and 2 seconds remaining I was nervous. Then Chase threw the ball, we tipped it, caught it, got a big block and scored the winning TD as time expired. The students rushed the field and didn't leave until they were forced to by emergency services. I hope those injured are ok and nothing serious. What a win!!!!!!!
Not only the miracle on the mountain, but also same end zone that app forced JMU fumble on to win a playoff game in our later FCS days!

Just looked it up: 2007 playoffs 1st rd. All JMU had to do when kick a chip shot FG but fumbled on a run inside 5yd line
I think the jmu game was the other endzone

The JMU fumble was the field house (north) endzone

1. This site isn’t very user friendly.
2. This site has a history of crashing and acting weird when we have too much traffic during games, so I stay off it until everything is over.
3. This site became such a toxic mess during the middle of the debacle that was 2020 that a lot of people left. I didn’t check this site for months. I didn’t comment for well over a year. There are a lot of folks who used to contribute to really good conversations who disappeared after things became so antagonistic. And many of the most antagonistic posters are still around being edgy and annoying.
