Last comment on this crap, if we're not very good, then UNC must really suck!! By the way, they do! LOL

Seriously, Deems is the only person I've heard say we are not very good. I've heard every excuse in the book, but to claim that a 3-0 team that is sniffing the top 25 is not very good is comical. What a cry baby.

The truth is, I don't think we've approached our potential yet this year but for an analyst for a team that just lost to us to make these comments is just pathetic. We're pretty darn good and we will get better. I bet the Heels wish they could say that with any real hopes of it being true.

Re: Sour Grapes....Deems May
Not going to listen, but I wonder what he's going say about Dabo after he names his score on them? Wasn't too long ago that they were wanting to bring on Clempson, well they are getting ready to get them. 48-14 anyone?appfanjj wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 10:15 amI was told by a UNC fan who would know that May does this after every game. Trashes the opponent and makes excuses after a loss. Or they are world beaters after a win. Apparently not many knowledgable UNC fans like him and are actually embarrassed by him. It is the way he generates interest and gets listeners. Almost like something you don’t want to see or hear but it is so bad you almost have to. Yet, they keep him on. Evidently he appeals to the fan that only sees the world as all blue and doesn’t get reality.

Re: Sour Grapes....Deems May
I went and checked. He was there 88 to 91. Looks like two 1-10 seasons, then a 6-4-1 season, and finally a 7-4 season. It was Macks first four years with UNC. So 14 wins 28 losses and 1 tie in four years. 3 of those years they lost to Wake. Lost to State all four years.
I would think with that record he would know how to handle a loss............

He should know his football. He knows what the real deal is. His “show” is geared toward UNC homers. Who really cares anyway? Rear view mirror. Maybe since we aren’t really very good we can find a way to squeak by at home Saturday LOL.

Re: Sour Grapes....Deems May
News flash guys....fan sites and fan podcasts are not suddenly going to say "our team sucks and they're better". They're just not. I don't know why people here keep screaming "b-b-b-b-b-but he no say we good". Laugh at them and move on.

It has been a while since I really looked at the Book of Revelation, but UNC beating Clemson this weekend has to be one of the signs of the Apocalypse. (What it would mean to our profile, might be irrelevant.)Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:01 amIf they beat Clemson our win over them suddenly skyrockets our profile

Who cares what this guy thinks. The game is over. No reason to hash it out.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Thu Sep 26, 2019 8:01 amIf they beat Clemson our win over them suddenly skyrockets our profile
However, I am with you it does help us if they beat Clemson. I hope they do but we just need to win out and thing swill work out.
Interesting scenario. Say UNC wins 8 games, beats Clemson, Wake Forest has a big year, and then we win our next 3 games or so, I bet we would be ranked in the top 20.
I hope our team does not care or pay attention though. All we can control is winning our own games. I'll pull for our opponents to help our profile but no reason to worry. No matter what UNC does we did all that matters for us and that was win that game.

Re: Sour Grapes....Deems May
Deems and Wesley Walls played golf and ate / drank together all the time at Grandfather Golf and Country Club the seven years I worked there throughout high school and college. He was nice enough and usually tipped well ($5 - $10 for parking his car). I do remember him stumbling out one night and complaining about going broke because he "gave us so much money".
I have a few good stories about him, Walls, and Mark Maye that I can't share on a public forum
I listened to the postgame live on the way out of chapel Hill and was laughing at his sour grapes.

I hope Carolina, and every team we beat, wins out. If every team we beat ends up with a winning record, we look that much better.

Re: Sour Grapes....Deems May
He must have missed the part where we whipped them on both lines, tackled better, were better coached, executed our game plan better and flipped the field on special teams most of the day.
