$35 per game ticket. That's not bad when you consider Wake is in the deal.AppDawg wrote:Haven't seen anything announced yet, but did see season ticket prices are increasing. Will be $210 each.appbio91 wrote:Anybody know if there will be any changes to the Yosef donation levels?

I remember we humiliated them on their first trip to KBS. I am very pleased they are joining the Sun Belt and I think they will do fine, but I also think the 2017 Sun Belt will be a tougher conference for a transitional team than the one that welcomed us.EastHallApp wrote:Be interesting to see how Coastal does. I'd expect them to win their share of SBC games right away. Going to be some pressure on us to serve notice who the boss is in that first visit to KBS.

My wife and I were at that game and sat on the visitor side. We happen to sit beside CCU's Chancellor's wife- very nice. If I recall the announced attendance was about 30K for that game. Hope they do well in football and I am looking forward to a game trip to the beach.CVAPP wrote:I remember we humiliated them on their first trip to KBS. Re: Home Schedule Confirmed. No Troy in '17
I reached out to the YC about this not too long ago. Unfortunately I have yet to receive a response, though I'm sure they are busy planning the coming year. Hopefully they won't incorporate drastic changes as I have a feeling that demand for membership will increase this year.appbio91 wrote:Anybody know if there will be any changes to the Yosef donation levels?

Re: Home Schedule Confirmed. No Troy in '17
I'm not really complaining but I too, was hoping to get another shot at Troy sooner rather than later. Would love to get a shot at A-state, which I assume could still happen since they haven't announced the away games yet. I was hoping to build a rivalry against Troy since they seem to be a quality team at the moment. If Georgia Southern continues to decline that rivalry will wane...I'm generally pleased with the home schedule though. It's like waiting for Christmas for the next season to start...EastHallApp wrote:Very frustrating, especially if no stAte either. Sun Belt missed an opportunity to apply some common sense here.
ETA: Speaking just of Troy's absence. Not a bad schedule overall.

It's almost like the Sun Belt is trying to protect its best teams by not having them all play each other. It's hard to build new rivalries when the schedule doesn't include many of the top teams.

Hopefully, when the new format gets in place for 2018 it'll get better.JTApps1 wrote:It's almost like the Sun Belt is trying to protect its best teams by not having them all play each other. It's hard to build new rivalries when the schedule doesn't include many of the top teams.

From their perspective that would be smart, more bowl teams.JTApps1 wrote:It's almost like the Sun Belt is trying to protect its best teams by not having them all play each other. It's hard to build new rivalries when the schedule doesn't include many of the top teams.
I just think they took the path of least resistance.

Our not playing Arkansas State and Troy in the same football season is akin to the ACC not scheduling Duke and UNC in basketball. A missed opportunity for sure.

The first game and the last game don't really do anything for me, but as a whole this is a good home schedule. I suspect we will improve our attendance numbers again next year as that slate carries at least 4 (Wake, Ull, Coastal and Stink) sure thing sell out games and 2 (Wake and Stink) sure thing standing room only games. Only thing that can effect those attendance numbers would be mid week games, just have to see how it shakes out but I am hoping we don't have any this year.

More of opinion than anything, but looks to me like if you have 2 top teams who do not play but share hardware, next year you can play off of that and market the hell out of setting up a CG.WVAPPeer wrote:How? - not questioning - just asking for info ---App91 wrote:Perfectly setting things up for the CG format! Would be shocked if the Ga Southern game isn't midweek.t4pizza wrote:The first game and the last game don't really do anything for me, but as a whole this is a good home schedule. Not sure it's smart from a TV perspective though. They're choosing not to schedule some of their most appealing matchups. Can't see how that makes sense unless they've found that the ratings don't change much between good SBC games and bad ones.Saint3333 wrote:From their perspective that would be smart, more bowl teams.JTApps1 wrote:It's almost like the Sun Belt is trying to protect its best teams by not having them all play each other. Troy definitely doesn't want us next year, they already have Boise and LSU trips on their schedule.

Re: Home Schedule Confirmed. No Troy in '17
What's a sell out for Ull, Coastal and Stink ? Is it the 30,000 plus we used to pack in at times in the FCS days or just the stadium seats full? No doubt the Wake game will be an SRO, but the other three are doubtful in my opinion.t4pizza wrote:The first game and the last game don't really do anything for me, but as a whole this is a good home schedule. Agreed. My bet is a Thursday in October, possibly the 12th or 19th.hapapp wrote:Would be shocked if the Ga Southern game isn't midweek.

We will certainly have at least one midweek game. Those go disproportionately to the projected best teams, and that's us.t4pizza wrote:The first game and the last game don't really do anything for me, but as a whole this is a good home schedule. I'm also not sure Coastal or ULL are "sure thing sellouts" even on a Saturday, unless you're referring to the official 24,000-whatever capacity figure that we all know doesn't mean anything.
