While you’re at it, look up the overall record between App and GA Southern. Then look up the record over the last 16 years. Then you can log off, suck an egg, and sleep peacefully knowing you annoyed a bunch of people who had never cared who you were before this past Tuesday and will never care about you again.

I HATE blaming the refs. Great teams win despite officiating mistakes. Ball don’t lie, and App’s offense has been trying to give the ball back to Southern as fast as possible. HOWEVAH! I’m almost certain their should’ve been a 15 yard penalty on the hit that knocked Thomas out of the game, and a kick-catch interference call on the muffed punt by Duck. I believe those two calls would’ve negated 14 points right there. The Mountaineers would still be down 13-7 in the fourth quarter, but that’s a lot more manageable than what we’re currently seeing.

Anyway, we’ve still won, what? 11 out of the last 16 games against the Stink? We will still make a bowl game and probably win that too.

i agree on those two calls. We also had crippling penalties in the first half and every ball bounced their way.

The biggest penalty may have been the call on Fehr. Not to pick on one of our players, but it looked like Logan Doublin was out of position (or at least they were keying on him) on all of their big runs. If he went left, they ran to open territory to the right.

Huesman certainly had better pocket presence and went through his progressions.

Flat out, we were beat and they made the plays. We lost our composure in the first half and couldn't light the spark in the second.

Call it an excuse if you want. Not too many teams can lose their number 1 rb and qb and not drop off dramatically. It’s a fact. Especially when the drop off from #1 to #2 is so dramatic at the single most important position on a football team. The d wore down because the O could not sustain. Perfect storm for disaster.

We lost most crucial guy early on O to set the tone against a very good team. Then to cap that lose key middle LB on D. Hats off to The Stink and especially their Defense they made it happen. I don't complain about the poor officiating we would have overcome that if not for the previous mention. We got our ass whipped.

Our second string at the spots we lost are too far behind the curve.

Nope, switched to burbon after zac went Down. This ranks as worse when compared to the blocked OT Extra point be Illinois State, tbe humiliation of being in the band and witnessing the VT and FL games in person, the home Villanova playoff loss, the Miami disaster and the wake forest game all rolled into one. ..........Alabama is only the better team when they score more points and hold the opposite team to less points. If we ignore that specific metric uncc could go toe to toe with them.
