2014 App QB Emiere Scaife of Mallard Creek barely got by Dillon, SC who was rated #20

“I put this on me. We came out just a bit too shaky,” said Scaife, a Appalachian State commit. “I just give the credit to Pittman and (Samuels) … and the offensive line.

From Twitter RB Josh Boyd (5′ 10″ 180) of Norcross High School in Norcross/Snellville, GA has picked up an App offer. I have put a player page up with video for him on the Main Page. The Rivals 2 star; 247 and ESPN 3 star APB is showing 15 offers so far. Air Force, Buffalo, Campbell, UNCC, Colorado, Fordham, Illinois St, Jacksonville St, Northern Illinois, Ohio, South Alabama, Syracuse, Toledo, UAB, and UNLV. No sites are showing the offer right now. It just came on twitter about 10 minutes ago. Should anything change I'll update the main page and thread.

I believe Boyd's team (Norcross) and Deltron Hopkins' team (Miami Washington) are in the closing stages of their game tonight on ESPN.

Deltron's stock rose big time as BTW roughed up Norcross bad. Need to work more on keeping him on the Boone Trail.

Several tweets tonight saying his and Canty's stock is on the rise and they will get "better offers than App State". The posters words, not mine. Canty did post the tweet below about Hopkins so it's great to see he's still repping App. A lot of our commits could see their stock rise depending on how they play. Big difference being FBS vs FCS and having most of our commits at the end of or after the season. Hopefully they are serious about App and we won't loose too many of these early commits. All I know is it's going to be a LONG freaking time till signing day.

I still have a question about this one so I'm going to call it unconfirmed until I see a little more info come out. Two tweets came out about this in about 10 minutes, including one from an independent recruiting guy that makes a lot of posts about offers. I've backtracked him for the last 4 weeks and was able to confirm all but 1 of his offer posts. But none of the recruiting sites have this offer listed yet. I will keep watch and update when I find out more.

247 in now reporting this as an offer so I will leave it on the main page. Based on reported offers he has a couple of fairly stong ones in Colorado and Syracuse, and based on twitter posts he is getting interest from even bigger programs, a few closer to his home. It is an offer however so it goes on the page. ;)

From internet reports I have added WR Caleb Scott (6′ 3″ 185) of North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, GA to the main page and put up a player page with video highlights for him. The Rivals 2 star is showing additional offers from Air Force, Furman, Kent St, Miami (OH), MTSU, and Wyoming. The video has been stopping on me about halfway through. If it does for you try hitting the right arrows button on the menu bar and it shows next clip. Then the video finishes.

From twitter reports I've added ATH/RB D’Andre Ferby (6′ 2″ 220) of Ensworth High School in Nashville, TN to the offers list on the main page and placed a player page with video up for him. The Rivals 2 star; ESPN and 247 3 star is showing additional offers from Murray St, Stetson, UT-Martin, Toledo, and WKU. The video clips have much the same footage but the embedded YouTube clip is about 2 minutes longer so there is some additional footage there.

We have our latest commit. 247 3 star and Rivals 2 star DB Trumaine Washington (5′ 10″ 175) of Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, FL committed tonight. He is tweeting it and so is his host for his visit this weekend, Dante Jones. I will have him moved to the commits section in a few minutes. There is a page with video up for him. His offers included Akron, Duke, FAU, FIU, Purdue and WKU.

Wanted to add one more thing. Since I posted his page Washington has been rated a 3 star by ESPN.com. It hit me tonight that I might want to double check. Glad I did. I've added that rating to his page.

I've got to take a look back at the rest of out commits since, when I put up most of their pages, ESPN had not rated many players yet. I will add this to my to do list and, should any updates be needed, I'll update the pages and post one message with the changes.

Fom Twitter reports App has offered OLB Dez Billingslea (6′ 2″ 215) of Newton High School in Covington, GA. I have placed a player page with video highlights up for him on the Main Page. The Rivals 2 star is showing additional offers from Kennesaw St, South Dakota St, and WCU so far.

According to WSOC TV, quarterback Emiere Scafie, an App State commit, broke his ankle tonight in Mallard Creek's win over West Charlotte. Speedy recovery, young man.

Hopefully it was a clean break that won't involve surgery. Fortunately he committed to a great school already. :D On another note, could this keep some of the poachers at bay?

We don't seem to be in the business of recruiting linemen. That's where we're getting whipped every week. Earth to Satterfield..."we have a problem!"

I thought we just had two OL commits right now? Who is the 3rd? Tobias and Chandler are the two I know of. I've seen Chandler play and he could be real good in time, just needs development. Coaches will have a little work to do but after a redshirt he should be a very good backup who starts three years. As for Tobias I have not seen him but hear he is supposedly a diamond in the rough type.

I think Scott knows we need OL but we need bodies right now with potential and I hope we sign four this year. Usually half of your guys don't pan out so that would mean it's likely for every four we will have two make it and be good players.
