We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
I’d say we’re in the net positive column by quite a bit this offseason on the portal. Impressive stuff.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
IMO, seems hard to tell whether good, bad or indifferent from a talent perspective as none have ever played a down for App. St. If one is talking pure numbers to get to roster limit, it is a net positive as we have more guys in the mix and able to practice.
Hopefully, they all turn out to be contributors... Time will tell.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
Wiles was a home run pickup given the circumstances and what he brings. There a few guys that I think can come in and make an impact. Farmer at Safety, Langlo, Shrader, and Hollifield along the OL and Cole at Star that look as if they might be the guys that we count on the most.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 9:11 pmIMO, seems hard to tell whether good, bad or indifferent from a talent perspective as none have ever played a down for App. St. If I e is talking pure numbers to get to roster limit, it is a net positive as we have more guys in the mix and able to practice.

It looks like DJ Porter is gone. Does anyone know what happened with him?BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 9:11 pmIMO, seems hard to tell whether good, bad or indifferent from a talent perspective as none have ever played a down for App. St. If I e is talking pure numbers to get to roster limit, it is a net positive as we have more guys in the mix and able to practice.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
I should have worded my response better. I meant direct impact in 2024. Yes, I do think Wiles is a good pickup, however, I hope we do not see him unless mop up duty as Joey Dimes is doing well. I think he will help to push Joey during practice. Anytime you can get a player that was a starter or played many snaps at G5 or P5 is always good. I am hopeful that the others that we got in the portal can be key contributors in 2024. Although I am a believer that App has to be very active in the portal in this era of CFB, t is always "time will tell" idea for me as you do not know how guys will mesh with other guys, what type of influence on culture, etc. Some of these guys are big. Hopefully, they can move other humans off their spot lining opposite then on the field.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 9:24 pmWiles was a home run pickup given the circumstances and what he brings. Re: 2024 Roster Updates
Fair enough. I think that they will all have a direct impact one way or another. As it was explained to me, this is about getting guys in here that could push for starting roles, but also push starters to get better. At the moment, I think Farmer and Coles are the two biggest impact guys that people will notice.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 4:41 amI should have worded my response better. Re: 2024 Roster Updates
Wonder what the visibility impact in recruiting has been having Joey from Cali come to App and be successful? I have to think it has turned some heads.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
It really is a deal of where can we be cost effective and get most impact. I would think Eastern seaboard and states near Eastern seaboard would be best bang for buck as most really know the program. From time to time, we may get interest or and/or commits from west coast, however, not sure we want to spend too many dollars recruiting out west as ROI will probably not be the best

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
I’m sure that there was some mutual interest that has to be identified and cultivated as well.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed May 29, 2024 10:00 amIt really is a deal of where can we be cost effective and get most impact. Re: 2024 Roster Updates
I wasnt specifically referring to the West Coast but in general. My wonder is will a kid reach out to App now who wouldnt have after seeing Joey. Sorta free recruiting publicity.

Re: 2024 Roster Updates
I’m sure that there is a level of that anyway without Joey. His opportunity and the numbers that he put up in the system are probably more appealing than his coming from NC.
