Dreamland's from Tuscaloosa. It's an institution. At the original location they used to just serve three things: ribs, white bread (the "dreamland appetizer" was bread dipped in sauce), and a rib sandwich that consisted of rib meat on white bread. Might still be that way in Tiscaloosa, but I'm pretty sure the other locations have full(er) menus.

Ohio folks are saying they will bring around 10,000 to the game..... if thats the case it might be fairly even on number of fans for each side.

If you put any stock in this sort of thing, some of the pundits have started the annual ranking of the bowls, in terms of how intriguing the matchup is, how good a game it should be, etc. Yahoo Sports puts the Camellia at #13 (and, be warned, the GoDaddy at #11). http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr- ... 57782.html

Oh, I saw. I just don't want to kick GaSt while they're... Up? Down? It's a bit of a mixed blessing, but I'm sure they'd rather a poorly regarded bowl game than another nearly winless season.

ESPN picks us to win in a good game.

Raycom Media Camellia Bowl: Ohio vs. Appalachian State
(Dec. 19, 5:30 p.m., ESPN)
Both teams come in playing well, and each has defensive standouts (Ohio linebacker Quentin Poling; Appalachian State cornerback Latrell Gibbs), but the Mountaineers prevail in their first FBS bowl appearance. Appalachian State 34, Ohio 27

Montgomery is only 2.5 hours past Atlanta. Thinking most folks in NC would drive to the ATL so dont let the location fool you into staying away from the game by airfare. And we need STUDENTS!!

Surprised to see a 5-7 team in the Cure. The AAC had enough eligible teams to fill that spot, but Tulsa instead went to the Independence Bowl to fill what was an SEC tie-in (I assume they didn't have enough eligible teams). I didn't think leagues would be able to pass over a primary tie-in to put a team in an at-large filler spot.

I guess technically Tulsa could have turned down that bid since they were guaranteed a bowl game and taken the at-large offer from the Independence Bowl because of travel.

It's what the players get for playing in the bowl.

Bought 2 tickets (through the App website) and booked hotel at Hampton Inn in Prattville (15 min drive to stadium) as it looks like all the hotels in downtown are booked solid. Driving down Friday morning and looking forward to all of the festivities and a bowl win for App!

Go 'Neers!

I know, but what's in the gift suite? That's what I meant. All the bowls say "gift suite" plus a few other items.

Oh I see what you're saying. I took it as saying that was the gift suite. I saw it as "gift suite:"
