We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

I think it's very unlikely that we'll have fans at the first game. Now, how will that change the game?
I'm really not trying to smack talk here, but our players are used to playing in front of a large and rowdy home crowd, while playing in scarcely-attended away games in conference. UNCC players are used to poorly attended games at home and away.
Advantage 49ers?
It's certainly true that our players are used to a larger crowd at home, but they've also played road games at Georgia State, Texas State, South Alabama, ULM where you could practically hear crickets chirping. If you have to name an "advantage" from this factor, it might go toward Charlotte but I doubt that is significant and I would certainly hope not significant enough to effect the outcome of the game.
If App shows up and executes, there should be no problem. I expect Charlotte to fight, but I also think the team remembers their lackluster performance in last year's game and will be motivated to set the record straight. That's what I'm counting on at least.

Yeah I mentioned that about out conference away slate.
I think you're right about our execution. The defense played their worst game all season against UNCC last year, by far. They really turned the corner after that game. We've been able to score on UNCC as we pleased for two years and I expect our offense to be even better this year.
App and UNCC both lost star RBs to the NFL, but we had a lot of very talented depth behind Evans. MWjr and Peoples are a top-25 tandem. Check out last year's depth production for both teams:

Lt. Gov. Dan Forest sued Cooper, arguing that he needs approval from a wider group of state officials called the Council of State before he can shut down wide swaths of the economy, such as bars and restaurants. State law seems to require concurrence, but Cooper's legal team has said other code sections allow him to act unilaterally in an emergency. What emergency kept him for the approval of one council? "10 statewide elected officials who make up the Council of State." They all reside in Raleigh NC. What was the emergency not to meet; that the council could not be consulted. Oh I know, 6 republicans and 4 democrats(including the King). Cooper acted outside OUR state constitution. Sounds like a King to me. Just hope politics don't get in the way of the App Nation.
It sounds like we have some conflicting laws that the judge ruled in favor of Cooper. Also the fact that only Forest (running for Gov himself) sued seems to suggest the 6 Reps on the State Council felt that Cooper was not overstepping and the 4 Dems did not either. Personally I would have preferred a meeting so votes could be taken and names attached to the votes assuming that is not considered non-public information. But by the fact the others on the State Council DID NOT (from what I have read) join in the lawsuit seems to suggest they feel Cooper was in line as did the judge that ruled. By their inaction they are making a statement that Cooper was not out of line. If you have a beef it seems it should be as much with the other members of the state council that did not stand up to Cooper. Then again the one person that did stand up had the ruling go against him and he did not appeal. Maybe, just maybe, the state council as a group and the judge do feel the Gov was in his rights as Gov to do what he did based on state laws as currently written.
Now we can have a discussion (in another thread) about changing the laws and I may agree there is too much power in the hands of one person. But that is another discussion.

I'm just wondering how tickets are going to be mailed out before SEPT 12, while simultaneously waiting for Gov Coopers answer on lifting or not lifting restrictions on SEPT 11th?
Hopefully the process is in place to email to a smart phone for scanning off the phone screen. That of course assumes you have a smart phone and not everyone does.

Chris Reynolds at Charlotte is a good QB with lots of mobility and is an accurate passer. Not very big but he is smart and scrappy. He had a good game against us in Boone last year in the loss. I expect he will have a decent game again this year. Of course their star running back is gone from last year. Not sure what kind of talent they have coming up in that slot. It should still be an entertaining game for both sides.

Regardless of what Cooper decides on 9/11, we should go ahead and organize a protest outside the confines of KBS so in case Phase II gets extended, our fans can show up and chant outside the gates so the team hears us. It's our constitutional right!!! Just please remember to wear your mask and socially distance.

Hearing no fans for the UNCC game. Would love to be wrong. If there are no fans would love to know about any possible broadcast and would strongly consider finding a way to watch the game in my tailgate spot.

There's a web conference tonight for NEZ seat-holders. I expect they'll be breaking some bad news, but it really won't matter because there is just no way Cooper moves us unto the next phase on 9/11.

As I recall they picked up the transfer from Northern Illinois that had a lot of success at RB, Tre Harbinson. Very similar style and build as Benny Lemay. That OL of theirs lost some players. I think we handle both Reynolds and the RB just fine. Their receivers may be a challenge, but pressure on the QB remedies that.

I'm sure that Charlotte will be up for the game. The big question mark for me is how the coaching transition has impacted the D. I'm less concerned about the O. Since Jones is already part of the App culture, I don't expect those kinds of issues. He has a lot more experience under some good coaches in the 3-4 so I expect he'll do fine running the show. I'd love to get out of the blocks quick and make a statement this time.

UNC just announced no fan attendance for September games
UNCC has an entire section of their board for all the misconception between UNC-CH and UNCC. So I have to ask, just to make sure, when you can UNC do you mean UNC-CHeat or UNC-C that is very near Concord?

LOL UNCC fans. When they're not beating their chest that the SEC has them on speed dial, they're wondering why nobody in Charlotte knows who/where they are. You literally can't make it up.
Never change UNCC fans! Never change.

I admit that I pulled for Reynolds to have a good game (just not TOO good) against us last year. His family used to attend our church and I watched him play in high school. A really good young man. His younger brother just signed to Charlotte for next year and is a wide receiver. Great opportunity for them both.
