Re: #25 CFP
I understand what your saying but UNC took Clemson to the wire and USC beat GA. We also bested 2 other G5 teams who have P5 wins this year. Purely from a fans perspective one of our P5 wins was about as good as it gets and the other was pretty darn satisfying. Both should help with recruiting.ah59396 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 12:12 amOur P5 wins are not strong at all. Obviously glad we got them, but there’s no denying both the Carolinas are bad ball teams this year. I’m pretty confident we will be sitting pretty at 22, but you never know.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2019 11:35 pmCincy was lucky as hell to win, but we aren’t jumping them from 8 spots behind when they won on the road. I think they maybe drop a bit but not that much.
Hoping A&M doesn’t jump us. They didn’t do us any favors with the way they stomped SC tonight.

You are halfway right. UNC was riding high whe. We came in to their place and pretty much dominated the game start to finish. Regardless of their record now, that was a solid win.ah59396 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 12:12 amOur P5 wins are not strong at all. Same with SC, they had been devastated by some injuries, but were looking to bounce back from a loss after the UGA win and needed to beat us to sniff a bowl. With their backs against the wall and us coming off a loss, we came to their place and threw them back down and kicked them while they were down. We pretty much dominated that game as well.
Both wins on paper don't loom great, but to thoughtful observers, like the committee, these were statement victories for an up and coming App State team

I can't stand UNC, so it pains me to say this but they are a good team. They have been in every game they lost this year, including 2 OT losses and the infamous Clemson game. I expect them to win their last two (Mercer & @ NC State) and get to a bowl game. They could have very easily been 7-5 or 8-4.appstatealum wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 11:45 amYou are halfway right. SC has played the toughest schedule in the country...with that schedule they needed to win 2 of 3 between Mizzou, Vols and App, as it turned out they lost all 3 and will end up 4-8...but you still cant deny the win at UGA, probably biggest P5 conference upset this year.

Re: #25 CFP
App is currently 2-1 vs teams that are bowl eligible. UNC, Coastal and Charlotte can all get there with winnable games.
Troy can get to 6 with win at ULL or vs App...I just assume they lose out, but if they have to win one hope its next week.
ULM can get to 6, but will have to win at home vs Coastal and at ULL...I would like to see them lose both.
