We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. Re: Sean Price arrested?
The story in the Democrat is nauseating. I'm sorry, but a .12 BAC doesn't excuse the racist rants, disrespect for authority, and the Prima Donna attitude he displayed. He may be part of the "family" but he is an entitled jerk who evidently has a big problem with alcohol, white people, and authority of any kind. His "apology" is a joke, and I didn't see any to the police.
I'd be fine to cut him loose.

The Price Ain't Right in this again, like last year's debacle. He in essence has just cost everybody that has a dog in this fight for APP in the Montana game probably 14+ points with his play making ability of being a threat to keep the chains moving, not to mention big play ability.
APP knows Washington Grizz is a tough place to play, and Price just spotted UM at least 14 points in my opinion.
Nobody should say that we would have won had we had Price. APP is paying the Price.

There a folks dropping big coin to travel to Missoula see APP win.

Once again, I humbly say it's over and let's move on. I'm willing to give the young man another chance, however, one more screw up and that's it. Let's move on, give Sean the benefit of doubt that he has learned a lesson (this time), suspend him a few games, and consider it water under the bridge. Heaven knows I've had a few second chances in my life time as well. By the way, Montana is just one week away, don't we have better things to discuss?

Excellent suggestion! Not sure what else needs to be said. It's now up to Satterfield and Sean.WataugaMan wrote:Once again, I humbly say it's over and let's move on. Re: Sean Price arrested?
Great points Charlie.....For him to get a $1,000 he was running his mouth to the police. You hardly ever see a bond that high for I&D. That is high for that charge...... He will do 10-20 hours of community service and be dismissedAppGrad78 wrote:From the way the incident was described to me, Price was at a gathering where a fight broke out. Price was not involved in the fight. When police arrived and attempted to break up the fight and disburse the crowd, Price began jawing. Police asked him to shut up and leave. Price failed to comply in a timely manner and was arrested on what amounted to a drunk and disorderly charge ("intoxicated and disruptive" was the term they used). Now, for any of us who've seen these kinds of situations, there is usually room for interpretation: Was Price being belligerent? Or were the police being heavy-handed with a situation that had long since been defused? Or is the truth -- as so often is the case -- somewhere in between? I don't know. I wasn't there. Neither were T-Dog and Gonzo. A police report gives a very narrow view of what actually happened. That's why we have courts with impartial judges and juries to sort out these things. Until then, can we put away our pitchforks.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
His statement should have included people on this board and others who give to the Yosef Club..."WE" pay for his scholarship and this behavior pisses my ASS off!!!!!!!Yosef84 wrote:I don't understand why people seem to want the courts to be involved in the enforcement of team discipline. I have no doubt that Sean told his side to Coach Satterfield before the decision was made. This isn't a case of he said, she said. He was under age and drunk in public. Any way you cut it, there was a violation of team rules. I don't think the outcome of the public charges needs to drive the coach's decision.
That being said, Sean's public statement that was quoted in the press release was very classy. I hope that statement reflects his actual attitude. I would like to see this young man learn his lesson and get back on track. I can only imagine what a highly motivated Sean Price will be like when he returns. These are not heinous charges. He was drinking...which most of us did while at App. The real damage is to himself and to the team. I hope he can put this behind him, pay his debt and re-earn his place on the team.
I don't know what the heck is up with Barnes. Whatever is going on there seems more significant. He's coming off a year's suspension and messes up again? wow. I have to think his scholarship is in serious jeopardy...or should be.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
EHHHHH making a lot out of nothing.
He was drunk, shouted a couple of obscenities at a police officer, got arrested. This little charge happens all the time in college towns.
I can understand the uproar if he assaulted someone, but this maybe deserves a one game suspension. First half is where I would put it, but that is up to Satterfield.
Jeremy Hill Assaulted a guy and laughed about it....all on video, and he is still playing the opener for LSU. This is after he got in trouble for forcing a 14 year old to give him and another guy oral sex in a locker room. That is a thug. Not someone who gets a little mouthy at a cop.

Amazed at the apologists. Sad to see the world has come to where this type of behavior is brushed off as no big deal. Didn't see any apology to the police officers the hurled racial slurs at. Paula Deen uses a racial slur 30 years ago and is vilified in the press, yanked off TV and loses almost all her endorsement deals. Price uses multiple slurs directed towards police and ASU Athletic staff and it's just a crazy drunk kid running his mouth.

He was more than a little mouthy and I don't give one phuc what happens at LSU or anywhere else for that matter. Alcohol is an only an excuse especially at 0.12 level. Remember 0.10 used to be the legal limit for driving. IMO he said nothing he would not have said stone cold sober. The more likely explanation is he had an audience and wanted to show his ass. I am going to pile on one more time. I went to the "closed" scrimmage the week before fan fest. They had Mr. Price lining up with the second team group. He was dragging around not really even trying. Was not targeted one time during the time they were outside while I was watching. I believe there is a reason Sat pulled him aside and gave him special instructions to stay out of trouble. Okay I am done with this one. Can't wait for next Saturday.ggasu wrote:EHHHHH making a lot out of nothing.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
He did something stupid. He should be and will be punished. At this point it is up to Satterfield and Price to determine if and when he returns. I think it time we stop speculating why he did it or rationalizing what caused him to do it or apologizing for him or further piling on.
Let's focus on Montana!

Exactly, In our society today, I'd say if the racist slur had been by a player of the opposite race than Price, then he'd already be back in his home town.

Re: Sean Price arrested?
This is Satterfield's chance to set the tone for team discipline and hopefully "nip it in the bud" for future events such as these. Personally, I am hoping for at least a four game suspension with a ban from all team activities during that time, and allow Price to earn his way back into the line-up after the suspension. This kind of behavior can poison a team, and if Satterfield lays the law dawn now, he will send a clear message to the team regarding expectations and consequences for actions.
Re: Sean Price arrested?
I read all this Satterfield this and that, and if, and I hope......He suspended Price......what else do we want him to do.
Satterfield will be judge by wins and loses.....NOT suspending a player here and there.
