Don’t think any assumed we would fly. Takes an hour to get to the closest airport. Same thing as driving to Myrtle or Atlanta/Southern.

Honestly a 6 hour bus ride might be quicker. I’ll be generous and say 2.5 hours to bus and plane but it’s probably more like 3-3.5 hours.

Norfolk is a little over and hour and then deplane and load back onto a bus is another hour and then on to final destination and you’re at least 5.5 hours and maybe more.

So really is it worth prob close to $60k to save an hour round trip maybe less?

The following teams and the number of 5th year or older players, I researched each roster web site,(you are free to google this as well) the following numbers DO NOT INCLUDE normal seniors:


#17 - DUKE - has 25 Graduate Transfers, yes 25!!! probably the reason they are ranked and whipped Clemson.

JMU - 13 Graduate or 5th year seniors
MARSHALL - 13 Graduate or 5th year seniors
GA State - 14 Graduate or 5th year seniors

now here is where this sh*t gets good.....

Coastal Carolina has 31 Graduate or 5th year seniors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ga STINK University --- 31 Graduate or OLDER.
They have 11 players in their 6th year of COLLEGE!! and 1 player in his 7th year!! (this reminded me of a YosefCabin board member AppState95&97 )

Admin and most fans are not against Clark. Shawn said before the season that Gillin was giving him everything he needs for us to be successful.

His fate will be determined by our results the next 6 games. I think everyone is pulling for our team to win but if we go 3-3 or worse then I think 90% of fans will support a change.

Isn’t the NCAA Tournament deciding line for whether a team flies or buses 600 miles? It’s a little over 350 and 5.5 hours (without breaks) from Boone to Norfolk. Seems like a reasonable distance to bus.

Thanks for posting these and I found them interesting. Just goes to show the big money difference when talking about the P5 teams vs everyone else. I surely thought ACC teams in NC would take a bus up to UVA/VT or even to GT in Atlanta. As they say "can't hide money."
