I'm with you. I'm ok with one game a year doing something different, but all black is what we look best in. I blame Nike for this latest fad where every team has to have a gajillion combinations, many of them clown-like. That's one thing I really admire about GA Southern. They have their traditional, plain uniform they are known for. I don't think we should be that bland, mind you but that's their brand. They respect and honor their brand. Kind of like the Yankees and the Dodgers. basically the same uniform since the 1920's for the yankees and the 40's for the Dodgers. I guess I'm gradually transitioning to a crotchety old fogie.

The most undisciplined teams I have seen in awhile. If the Apps had this many penalties, especially unsportsmanlike conduct, I would be asking the coaching staff some serious questions. Why would a player have an excessive celebration penalty knowing he already had a personal foul and would be ejected from the game and the first half of the next game? Inexcusable. I didn't watch the entire game but the parts I did watch were embarrassing for the coaching staffs of both teams.

I watched the first half and saw at least 3-4 passes get batted down at the line by the USA defensive front. Freddi Knighten can't be taller than 5'9, wasn't impressed with him last year when we played against him and was not impressed last night either.

I like the gold pants personally and that is our traditional look. We didn't wear black pants until the early 90's. I do think all black should be worn on Black Saturday which to me would make that look even more special.

As for the game last night, I think we have more talent overall than either of these teams. Neither team looked to have a defense as good as ours, and I think offensively we're at least equal to them. A long way to go before we see either one though.

I disagree. I would prefer we were black jerseys/gold (yellow) pants each home game but Black Saturday. When I was at App, we wore black jerseys/white pants except on Black Saturday. I like gold better than white. Of course, I also am just fine with all black every Saturday. But, if we're going to talk personal preferences, I'm throwing my vote for black/gold.

I heard Wes Durham on one of the Triangle talk shows a few weeks back, and he was saying he thinks Thursday night games are not as good an option for college anymore now that the NFL plays one every week, because even the worst NFL Thursday games draw a bigger rating than big-time college games on the same night. ACC and some others are starting to play more Friday night games because of this.

Not sure how I feel about Tuesday, but I guess it's not much different than playing on Thursday, except that it hasn't been done much. Whatever gives our program the best chance to grow, I guess.
