We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Question about bids
What is the process in acquiring a first round home game? Submitting a monetary bid? What kind of bid does it take and what % goes to the NCAA? How much does the money factor matter? If my team is 11-0 and rolling and I put in a $100 bid, do I still get a home game? Is the bid a guarantee of ticket sales and what if you go beyond - the NCAA gets a % of the gate?

Re: Question about bids
Thank you for the information. Good article. Heard off the cuff from a not-so-reliable source that Woof Woof bid high. Richard Johnson, the AD, said we are going strong with a bid. Again, a source that may be in the wind.

Re: Question about bids
I've never seen it published. I've seen some fairly reasonable estimates and there probably are people on this board who have that information. But I get the feeling that it's something Charlie Cobb and the other ADs would rather not make public. It's also possible that no one in the media has asked.TheGreatBolo wrote:What was ASU's bid? Re: Question about bids
Wouldn't we be able to petition the university for the info under the Freedom of Information Act? Not that it matters to me at all, but I think it would work.
Give 'em hell!

Re: Question about bids
Why would any App fan want to get propriatary information in cyber space that another school could use to its advantage to help determine how to bid against us to host a game????

Woof must be expecting all 4,000 to show up.TheGreatBolo wrote:Thank you for the information. Good article. Heard off the cuff from a not-so-reliable source that Woof Woof bid high. Richard Johnson, the AD, said we are going strong with a bid. Again, a source that may be in the wind.
