One thing that I loved that Coach Dlo said in an earlier interview was that you have to adjust early. You can't wait until halftime. You have to adapt on the fly. Man we haven't seen that mindset in a long time.

Im not in love with Barnes so far

I see it differently. He's a playmaker. Just needs a bit of time to adjust to playing up a level and seeing that he cant get away with some of the over running stuff he did in FCS.

Our run defense…. Needs to be better.

A few tweaks are certainly needed to stop the runs. But this App secondary is playing like a unit.

Oh yeah, and guys are consistently tackling. I like that too.

We only have 6 men in the box on those bigger runs. May be a haunt from getting burned so many times last year with the pass.
