We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Anyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. The $330k “payment” is actually a reduction in future payments made from the NCAA to Apps for 10 yrs. It is essentially less for our budget than they planned for and will have to be made up. Again I give Gillen props for keeping the ship afloat with all these financial changes that are happening. Of course big props to the App St fanbase too.

I really do believe that Appalachian has the right people in place to weather whatever storm comes to Appalachian. Spend any time in Boone and you just become somehow more resilient.AppFan11 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 7:46 amAnyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. We delivered Krispy Kreme donuts on Saturdays during the summer to raise money for our high school sports.Bootsy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 12:25 pmTime to get a bake sale going…we got bills to pay up here.AppFan11 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 7:46 amAnyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. I’ve pitched naming rites to the Octagon to a few folks. Are you OK if we donate those funds to the cause? Of course we will need Board approval.Bootsy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 12:25 pmTime to get a bake sale going…we got bills to pay up here.AppFan11 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 7:46 amAnyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. The baseball team (App State) was handing out snickers and candy at homecoming football tailgates. Not sure if it was to raise money or not, they weren’t asking for money. Maybe just doing it to meet the fans. If they were doing it to raise money, we’re in a world of hurt.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 12:40 pmWe delivered Krispy Kreme donuts on Saturdays during the summer to raise money for our high school sports.Bootsy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 12:25 pmTime to get a bake sale going…we got bills to pay up here.AppFan11 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 7:46 amAnyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. Yeah, handing out free stuff without soliciting for money is a very bad fundraising idea.311neers wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:01 pmThe baseball team (App State) was handing out snickers and candy at homecoming football tailgates. Just saw on the news that due to the agreement VT will have 60 less athletes next year.

Yes, of course. I was making a joke that clearly didn't land.bcoach wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 3:25 pmUnless you are being paid to hand them out.t4pizza wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:39 pmYeah, handing out free stuff without soliciting for money is a very bad fundraising idea.311neers wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 2:01 pmThe baseball team (App State) was handing out snickers and candy at homecoming football tailgates. Yeah, I like the way you’re thinking. It’s way past time did this. We may be able to get a deal quick since the Mountain City Food Lion is interested. Plus, it’s for the kids.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 12, 2025 12:49 pmI’ve pitched naming rites to the Octagon to a few folks. Are you OK if we donate those funds to the cause?
