We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Tax Free NIL
It's amazing how far the greed goes around college football that governments are stepping in to give their schools an edge. I feel like there will be lawsuits against this somehow. Nuts. Pro sports it is. Student athlete is gone.

Re: Tax Free NIL
They could only forgive State income tax. There are states with no state income tax. But I can tell you this, if NC pulled a stunt like this I would have my employer stop my state withholding and dare NC to come and ask me for the money.

Can't help but think lawsuits are coming because this limits who can get it. Anyone can work a job that gives tips so no tax on tips is okay but I have to think that lawsuits are coming. What should be able to let a football player not pay taxes but any regular student working has to do it? With how much many players are making in NIL some of them should be in high tax bracket.ASUTodd wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:03 pmhttps://www.on3.com/nil/news/arkansas-n ... ncome-tax/

This is that fuzzy math billionaires use to rationalize cities paying from their stadiums. No thanks.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:00 pmNot sure it is that crazy..Arkansas good in basketball and football...tax free pays for itself in revenue earned by university and city of Fayetteville...

Re: Tax Free NIL
Yeah, this should go over real well. Work-a-day Joe and Jill pay taxes and an 18 year old who can play ball doesn’t. Like I alluded to earlier, I would bring a picture of myself to my boss and ask him our her to put it in the company lobby and pay me for my NIL. I’ll do the actual work for free. Completely idiots running the show in Arkansas.

At the root of this is a “money grab”. Somewhere I’ve read that the love of money is the root of ALL evil.

Why should folks not pay taxes on tips? Tips are income and I have to pay on my income.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 8:14 pmCan't help but think lawsuits are coming because this limits who can get it. Re: Tax Free NIL
Most who get tips get them in cash and under report them to begin with so it is not like the government is actually getting what it should. I would normally be against no tax on tips but because of COVID and the inflation that happened I think the hospitality class needs it big time.bcoach wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 5:23 pmWhy should folks not pay taxes on tips? Re: Tax Free NIL
Actually I would think most resturant and bar bills are on cards. Actually inflation has boosted tips as the vast majority of tips atr a % of the bill and those bills are a lot higher now. An awful lot of servers are making some really nice money. EVERYONE should be paying their taxes. I am still working so I am paying taxes on my social security. That is money I have given the govt interest free. All they are doing is giving back my own money they have held for up to 50 years. So if I have to pay taxes on the money I have given them for 50 years then they can pay taxes on their tips.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 5:52 pmMost who get tips get them in cash and under report them to begin with so it is not like the government is actually getting what it should. Re: Tax Free NIL
Best free leson I ever recieved. "The government can do anything it wants to do, if they have the votes" Arkansas evidently has the votes. Will North Carolina??? It definitely gives Florida and Tennessee an advantage. A huge disadvantage to Rutgers and the California teams.

Re: Tax Free NIL
I think everyone should have to pay taxes if we do but I am okay with this being a temporary thing for them. If I go out to eat I always bring cash to look out for them because I know some just put it on the card and every waitress or waiter I know personally always told me to give them cash. On the flip side, you would be surprised how many people are bad tippers. Also, many people could not afford to give 20% on top of the normal prices and eat out a lot so I know people who have been eating out a lot less so sure on one table they might make more but when you got less customers it evens out.bcoach wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 8:33 pmActually I would think most resturant and bar bills are on cards.
