But those NFL o-linemen still make a REALLY good living. And they're grown men, not immature teenagers/young twentysomethings. College football as we have known it is over. It won't be long before they don't even have to go to class.proasu89 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 8:23 amAsk every OL in the NFL how it feels.AppState89 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 7:30 amWonder how long it will take the OL to get pissed off that the QB is getting several million in NIL while they get around $5,000? We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - IN
I don’t think it becomes an issue as long as the player deserves it. These kids are really smart and observant about what’s going on in the locker room. They know who busts their ass and who doesn’t. As long as the guy making the coin is working hard then it is generally a non issue.AppState89 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 7:42 amThis is what I'm so scared of at App. I hope no, but money does cause problems.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 7:35 amThere is certainly the possibility that NIL disparity can adversely affect team chemistry and the locker room; and is something that has to be managed.AppState89 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 7:30 amWonder how long it will take the OL to get pissed off that the QB is getting several million in NIL while they get around $5,000? I’m glad we got Swann! He has been a target for a few weeks and we were able to beat out Jax State.
FYI - I mentioned his name a few days ago. I mentioned him on the 24/7 sports website also and then was reprimanded by that “reporter”. Guess we know who really has sources these days.

I stopped posting there many years ago. I really only go there now to see the starting lineups each week.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 10:53 amI’m glad we got Swann! He has been a target for a few weeks and we were able to beat out Jax State.

He probably knew but didn’t see the need to state it so that he felt important.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 10:53 amI’m glad we got Swann! He has been a target for a few weeks and we were able to beat out Jax State.

I recall you mentioning Swann but I don't recall him responding. Which thread on 247 did this interaction occur?ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 11:37 amAppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 11:18 amHe probably knew but didn’t see the need to state it so that he felt important.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 10:53 amI’m glad we got Swann! I meant to ask. How’s that permanent ban from 24/7 wearing?ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 11:37 amOh I bet that was it!AppSt94 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 11:18 amHe probably knew but didn’t see the need to state it so that he felt important.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 10:53 amI’m glad we got Swann! I tend to agree with this. I will say I respect 24/7 but there seems to be a lot of censorship happening over there. Not easy for mods patrolling either of these message boards. I'm sure its been said before but I think on both sites people would have a different tone if it was face to face with some of the things that are said to each other. I myself stepped back not posting a lot and just reading and damn - sh#t gets personal. I know I was at fault as well in some instances.Yosef10 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 11:56 amMy man, I have the same issues with him that you do, but you gotta let it go haha.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 10:53 amI’m glad we got Swann! I’m not privy to the 247 site drama details. I wasn’t personally offended, just had several comments of mine that were deleted for head scratching reasons. It made it not fun to be a part of that community. If I’m not allowed to express my disdain for Eric Church, then what’s the point?

Don’t wanna turn this into an App 247 critique thread, so I’ll try and keep it positive. If you want to see how a 247 site should be run then take a look at Stephen Igoe over at ECUs 247 site. Regular articles with good information shared. Not much extra posting by him preaching at his membership. And most importantly to me, you actually get inside info that you pay for in real time, rather than post mortem coverage that you tend to get at the App 247 site, which I feel typically tends to be just conjecture for the most part.Appmountaineers19 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2025 12:20 pmI tend to agree with this. What’s most disappointing to me is sites like that are how you can grow a fan base. Feels like a wasted opportunity that I wish could be rectified in some way. We just have such little coverage of the nuts and bolts of the football program when compared to schools like ECU, NCSU, and UNC. Which all have fantastic 247 sites.
